The moment when I have decided to write a review after coming back home was when the guy from the hotel service lied again and again to us about air conditioning. It was not very hot in Milano (first days of May 2013), but in both our rooms it was ~27 degrees (estimated by comparison to outside temperature that was measured with a car thermometer). At the same time main hall was heavily air conditioned, almost cold, even passages between rooms were nice. I do not want to write down whole story of various tricks they tried on us to stop bothering them about temperature in the rooms. Trust me, they are well trained in that regard. :D Fortunately, we could use windows as in first days of May it still was not too warm outside in the night.There is no free internet at all (not even single computer in public access area). Food during breakfast is usual for Idea hotels, and by that I mean average by usual standards and rather poor by Italian food standards (we are huge fans of Italian food). In Idea hotels you always learn something new about hotel business. This time breakfast room service was literally hunting for used bowls that people had on the tables during breakfast (e.g. they came and took our bowls while we were eating, but left other type of dishes and/or garbage)Rooms were not too clean, there were some really ugly stains on the floor. In one of bathrooms in our rooms there was no plug in the sink, so we could easily experience life that however at early stage of evolution, certainly was doing quick and promising progress. Showers represent above average fungi levels. Every time I see bathroom like this I am thinking about buying USB microscope for better reviews and comparison. Some woman complained at the check desk about toilets in the main hall, so it seems it was not only our case.If there is something nice I could tell about this place it would be location. With a car it's really easy to get to the city, quite probably we would go by foot if our boys did not want to see San Siro stadium too. We used this hotel only for a one night stay on our long car trip back home, so it was OK for getting short nap and move on, but I would not like to use this place as Milano stop on the Italian dream trip.

From the piece of metal that would fall off the toilet roll holder when I tried to use it, to the bidet helpfully situated at the door of the shower, nothing about the bathroom felt like it was thought through or even finished. The cheap soap provided was like a lump of plastic, as if it had been dug up from Roman times. The shower head kept sliding down the poll it was meant to be attached to, and kept threatening to flood the room as the drainage was poor. The flusher for the toilet kept threatening to fall off the wall if it was pressed too hard. I've never stayed in a room with such singular failure to meet a decent standard, and even the soap holder in the shower had a couple of strands missing which meant things would fall straight through it if used. The walls of the room had marks across them, which happens when people are moving luggage in and out, but I couldn't work out what sort of visitors held their luggage at chest height. Beds were comfortable, furniture adequate, three sockets around the room which is good enough and the decor was fine. Breakfast was slightly odd, with vast quantities of cake but little in the way of eggs or sausage. They clearly weren't equipped for the volume of people, with the (cracked) plates, cutlery and cups missing in action for much of the service. As for location - the tripadvisor app sought to assure me the hotel was in South East Milan (which it isn't!), but even the hotel doesn't seem sure of its location as it describes itself as being near a metro station. If you hire a taxi to take you to town, be prepared for the shock of Milan taxi drivers starting the meter when they are hired... that means the time the hotel has phoned the car to the time it arrives is included in your bill. If its quick, this won't have much impact, but we had a 10 euro starting price on the car one time which is nuts. Despite its shortcomings, the price is low, the staff were fine for the contact we made with them, the bed comfortable enough. It's near nothing touristy so if that's your aim, avoid at all costs, but if its situated for something you need then it's just a place to put your head down for the night at a reasonable rate.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in a double room. We have only received one blanket for the two of us, and when we asked for an extra blanket, we had to wait 2 (!) days. The double bed is really narrow, pretty small for two people. One of the receptionist was really mean to us (and as I heard to all the guests). The rooms are very clean, but the cleanladies are working from the early morning and the walls are very thin , which means we could not get a quiet sleep not even once. The breakfast is intercontinental, the bread is always dry, but they also offer home made cakes, which is good. The connection to the center by public transport is pretty good, you can reach the center in 25 minutes. The style of the hotel is kind of business, but they offer the WiFi for 7 euro per day which makes the work impossible. Above the price, they also count 4 euro/day/person the VAT. After all, we could have found a better place to stay.

We booked a room if three beds, that was just good for sleeping after an exhausting walk through Milan - the distance between the hotel and Duomo it's 4,5 km by foot, but the walk is pleasant.The BIG minus - the wifi it's not free, you will need to pay 7¿¿¿ tax for one day / one device. We choose a prepay SIM card from Vodafone to avoid this enormous tax, so we had mobility after all. The breakfast is very good, it is served between 6:45 -10:00 , which I guess it's quite acceptable as a timing frame for getting up also.

We stayed one night at a double room. The room was clean and has most of the basics, but I didn't feel comfortable; it looked more like a jail for me! The air conditioning was bad, it didn't cool the room enough. Internet is not free, you need to get to the reception to get the access code. Breakfast was included and it was good. I was happy to find the TV channels that broadcast the UEFA champions leauge, in case you're interested to know.The room had a small safe but it wasn't working well, or too dificult to set!The hotel is located in a quite street, you can use a bus station to get to the Duomo in around 12-15 mins. I don't recommend staying at this hotel.
