A Good All Rounder
Four star hotels can be a bit dodgy . They spend a bit of money on the lobby and flatter to deceive . This is a genuine four star hotel and I enjoyed my two night stay . It's in a comfortable area but only stones throw away from the action . Much better than those 19th century grand hotels that are just past it .At the moment Nice is a building site - but that's not the hotels fault .

Uneventful Stay, the good and the bad
I stayed at this holiday inn holiday for 4 nights. The hotel is located in very good spot between the beach and Gare De Nice, only 10 minutes walk from Nice old town and 5 minutes walk from Airport Bus 98 Stop. The main shopping street is only 5 minutes away from hotel, heaps of shops there. I did not try the restaurant at hotel as there are heaps restaurants and cafes around, particular behind the hotel there are heaps of Asian, Mid-Eastern and Italian restaurants. Compare with some other holiday inn hotel in emerging markets, this is a very basic holiday inn hotel. Room is good size and bigger than the holiday inn I stayed in Paris. Bedroom is good and the most important point is you can open the window and get some fresh air. Service is good particular front desk staff. Victor checked us in and also provide outstanding service during our stay. Other staff are pretty friendly and helpful as well. The main issue of this hotel is lift. Many visitors have already mentioned before the lift is not working or not working well. I only used once during our 4 days stay at this hotel, rest of time we have to take service lift. Well we went out most of days, it was not a big deal for our stay. Hotel provides fee wifi service and it was pretty fast as well. Hotel also has a mini gym on top floor, it has a great view and I dont think many people knew about it. Airline staff stayed at this hotel as well particular British Airways. So if you are BA fun this is the place for you to stay. It was an uneventful stay and considering the price I paid, I will definitely come back again if the price is right.

Easter in Nice
The location of the hotel is very good. The hotel itself could have been much better. As noted by other reviewers, the elevators were out of order and we had to use the service elevator. This was VERY inconvenient: there were long waiting times and the elevator itself was rather dirty. The hotel did not put any effort to make it nicer as it was used by the guests. The room was nice but we could not close the door of the bathroom!!! The door was too large!

Good location for a short stay
I stayed here for 2 nights and the hotel was good. It's location was perfect, 15-20 min walk from main rail station and 10 min walk to the beach. Great restaurants close by and shopping only a block away.The hotel itself is good for a short stay, the rooms are large, relatively clean but not spotless. The elevators were broken so guests were using the service lift or stairs. The corridors smelt musty and we thought we may have been on a smoking floor however the hotel doesn't have smoking floors. The staff were helpfull, however the bar staff were scarce, we waited for a good 5 mins before someone came to serve us on two occasions.If your looking for a good location it's worth a thought.

Nice hotel in nice !
Nice hotels are notoriously not the cheapest, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this, as it far exceeded my expectations of a holiday inn. It has quite a plush feel, good bedroom, with everything functioning correctly, comfy beds, pillow choices, and felt clean, modern and well presented. All reception staff extremely helpful. Only downside was,as other reviewers noted, still no operational lift, so service elevator being used - not ideal and let's down the standard of this hotel. Also, no iron in room ( though colleagues had in theirs - a slight inconsistency ?) I liked the location, the bar area seemed welcoming, and I would use this hotel again.
