Adequate
I was assigned to this hotel by a conference I attended. On the plus side, the hotel had a trendy vibe, starting with the multi-purpose lobby, and adjacent bar. The front desk staff was knowledgeable of the area, friendly and helpful when I needed to locate a certain retailer. The room was stark and poorly lit. There was no task lighting near the computer desk, leaving me to open the draperies for usable light. Since I was facing another very close building, proper attire was required. The bathroom lighting wasn't great for putting on makeup. The best lighting was in the small entry foyer where a huge dressing mirror was located. On the plus side, the bed was very comfortable, the room was quiet and there was an iPod dock and the shower wand was great!

I got a double room but it had a view to a wall. Not a nice one if you ask me but I don't care a lot about that. Living in Rio de Janeiro kind of kills it when it comes to stunning views. The toilet had a glass door. It didn't bother me but be advised.The staff was extremely friendly and they helped us with everything we needed. They informed us about a nearby gym where we could use the pool for free and informed us about the internet connection. There was an outlet on the wall with high speed internet. Great.The breakfast was superb and I couldn't have enough of it. The orange juice was abundant and very good. Ice was available at large.The room was very well kept and clean. It also had a very modern feel to it. The entire hotel is designed in a way that makes you feel like you are inside of a 007 movie. It was a great way to meet people since there were parties going on inside of the hotel. They have quite a beautiful fireplace at the lobby and the elevator is somewhat unusual. I would stay there again without a thought and I recommend it to anyone planning to stay in Downtown Los Angeles. Location was great near the subway station and bus stops were everywhere around. Very easy to get around and there are many convenient places open 24/7 around the hotel, so you don't need to buy expensive room service if you have many options around the Hotel. There is a Subway restaurant open 24 hours nearby, as well as an ihop.Plan ahead and try to get a better rate if you are staying for a while.Wakeup calls worked perfectly and were free of charge.

Good Location, Good Value, Great Staff!
I stayed here for three nights last week and let me start off with saying how great the staff is at the O Hotel--from the front desk to the housekeeper they were all smiling, friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great value for downtown LA and has a modern vibe. It's near the Staples Center, Convention Center and LA Live. It is also next door to a garage that is very reasonably priced. My room was clean and on the smaller side (it had a queen bed), but no where near the smallest I've ever seen. The continental breakfast was OK (personally I would have liked if it had fresh fruit other than apples in a bowl). The view out of my room window was a wall only about 6 feet away, although that made it quiet (and a little dark). From what I could tell, the rooms facing Flower and at the far end of the hall opposite Flower had better views. The bathroom was modern but had no counter space to speak of and the shower, while large, had no fixed head nor any place to fix the hand-held sprayer in a more usual position. The AC was great (the room got icy) but the lighting was so-so and it felt a bit too dark when trying to read something on the desk, for example. As long as you aren't looking for lots of space (the common areas of the hotel are relatively small) or the frills of a five star type hotel, then you can't go wrong with the O.

I had a great time and wouldn't have changed a thing.
My trip started in Pasadena on the Metro link which I took to 7th street. When I got off the Metro, it was a few blocks to the Hotel. The Hotel reception was very friendly. Room 303 overlooked Flower St. and had a view. The hotel has a European feel to it. The shower had great water pressure, the AC worked beautifully, and the bed was so comfortable and there were tons of pillows. The location of the hotel is across the street from a mall and a Ralph's grocery store. It is a short walking distance to the Staples Center and trendy restaurants. I enjoyed my stay, I had a great time and would stay there again. THANKYOU.

Not One Complaint
I loved this hotel. It was within walking distance to everything I was in town for, the room was beautiful and the property was excellent. The guy who checked us in was very friendly, his name started with an A. If anyone has a complaint about the view or noise, maybe they spent way too much time in the room. The Spa is amazing and I could not have been happier with my choice of hotel. I am the General Manager of a highly rated hotel and even I was impressed by the O Hotel.
