Excellent
This is an excellent hotel in many aspects like location, comfort , staff and interiors. I have stayed in this hotel two times : Sep 2005 and May 2010 and the overall experience on both occasions was fantastic. I had a room with kitchen . The interiors were excellent and the hotel staff is very responsive and courteous.This is right on colorado blvd and also has the metro bus stop in front of the hotel. Highly recommended.

My dog and I were very comfortable here. Have a daughter in Pasadena and now I know where I'll stay every time I drive out.
Great convenient area for restaurants, books, fuel, any shopping you would want to do, as well as easy access to local educational institutions. The rooms are clean and easy to rest and work in. Breakfast was fine and the manager was very efficient with check in and out. It's my motel in Pasadena.

WONDERFUL STAY GREAT STAFF
Found this hotel while i was on the internet for my business trip.I must say that when i walked into the lobby to check into the hotel desk clerk was very helpful. i asked a couple questions which could not be answered by him so he called the manager out to help. Well i must say this manager has a personality that is hard to find anywhere he was great at answering my questions and even gave me the insight about Pasadena which i didn't no.Where to go what to do. I went to the room, it was amazing flat screen t.v. coffee maker, safe, and clean, bed are great, shower has the best water massage unit for a hotel. The manager informed me that breakfast started at 5:30am so i was up early went down about 6am found out that i can make my own waffle, they had bagels, fresh fruit, strawberry and berry's for the toppings. they had so much selection to choose from. to much for me for breakfast. I saw the manager that morning and thanked him for the stay and for all the information he gave me. i will be back soon in Pasadena and stay here again.

Clean and comfortable
I choose this hotel for two reasons, first we had a little dog with us and the second was price. It's clean and comfortable and priced exactly right We were a party of three attending a wedding and we needed a lot of hangers so we called the front desk. Within minutes, 10 additional hangers were brought to our room. We did not try the breakfast, totally forgot it was available. Our room was on the second floor on the busy street side and I was concerned for the noise but even with the window ajar all night I slept soundly. Stay here and you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed our stay - would recommend
The Vagabond Inn in Pasadena was everything we needed. Easy to get to, with very reasonably priced, clean, attractive rooms. There was a coffeemaker and a fridge in the room, and a decent continental breakfast next to the lobby with daily newspapers available and a big screen TV turned to the news. I requested a quiet, non-smoking room with 2 comfortable queen beds and was given just that - a very quiet room facing the back with back-side parking, soft comfy beds and not even a "hint" of cigarette smoke, which we appreciated. It also had nice, new carpeting in the interior walkways that smelled fresh & clean. We were happy to see several available rolling carts by each entrance that allowed us to hang our bags and luggage and roll them right to our room. I do not know if it had a pool or workout room or any other amenities, because we were not using it for that. We were looking for a safe, clean, comfortable stay with breakfast and Wi-Fi and a reasonable price. This fit the bill.
