Rooms barely acceptable, friendly staff
The hotel is old and the room was just acceptable. There was no way to adjust the room temparature. The hotel was quite noisy (we could clearly hear other people walking and talking in the hall). The breakfast was very limited and not regularly enough restocked. The room was clean and he staff very friendly. A bus stop to ny city was 2 min walking. The other marriott across the road (residence inn) was a much better choice.

Good hotel for staying close to NYC!
This is a great hotel for staying close to NYC for little money. Rooms are small, but clean, and breakfast is free. Standard Fairfield Inn breakfast, waffles, sandwiches, yogurt, Danish, but adequate and plenty of it. Hotel staff is extremely helpful about bus and subway. Don't be afraid to ask like my husband! One tip, one the return bus trip, you must hit stop at your stop even if your driver doesn't announce it! They do NOT care if you have to walk!!

25 Minute walk to MetLife Stadium
We decided to stay here for two reasons... First it is close to MetLife Stadium; second was the free breakfast. The breakfast was your average continental breakfast of Danishes, fruit, yogurt, bagels, toast and egg sandwiches. So no complaints there. Breakfast is actually available until 10am which is nice. Plus check out is at 12pm which is awesome!!! The hotel is close to MetLife Stadium but its actually a 30 minute walk for the average walker (we used a GPS walking app to see) but since we are fast walkers we did it in about 20-25 mins. My one complaint was that the hotel did not offer a shuttle to the stadium. They gave us a card for a company that would drive us there for $10 a person. Overall it's a pretty good average hotel, which is all we needed because we only stayed one night.

Needs renovation
This hotel is pretty clean and service is decent, but it needs renovation to be done. The carpets are old and stained. The rooms have a slight old smell to them, bathrooms are dingy and have strange problems with them. My friend's room have some clogging problems, my room's shower head leaks from the pipe and hits the ceiling. Compared to the other hotels in the area, I would try not to stay here. Probably due to the lower prices compared to the other hotels, a lot of tour buses come through this hotel. Since they leave and come all at the same time, you should hope that you don't arrive and leave the same time as you. Breakfast also not the greatest, the breakfast sandwiches they offer has to be microwaved.

It was ok, close to the rinks.
2 nights. Staff was nice, place appeared clean, had room in back by elevator, overlooking parking lot. There were a lot of tour buses late at night for sports tourneys and were noisy when parking. We didn't use the included breakfast except for milk and fruit, but our request for extra towels because of extra showers was ignored and what was funny is the housekeeper spoke English in the morning, but when the towels didn't arrive by 2pm as promised by the desk, we asked the same housekeeper, who gave us the "no speak English" stuff, not knowing my daughter speaks fluent Spanish and asked again then told her you did speak English this morning. I don't like that kind of staff nonsense. Just say we will have them asap, or hand them to us, the cart was loaded. Overall, I'd stay again, I had some issues with the bathroom, they need to update the vanities for room instead of having it boarded up. I have pictures of uncleaned front, and the tubs need some old fashioned Comet to get rid of the dirt. Front desk was pleasant but I wish they would have warned me they were hitting my credit card for an extra $50 for incidentals. I didn't appreciate it since no other Marriott has ever done this at all, even in NYC where parking is outstanding until paid, let alone not telling me, and I budget my money to the penny. That was unacceptable, especially for a long time member and guest of Marriott. My credit card was on file, did you have to tie up the extra money??? Landscaping was mid-winter and I don't care about it that much unless I'm at a resort. I'm here for a good night rest, clean rooms and close proximity to my destination. Again, allow me to state front staff was good, room placement as requested, except for the lack of notice on the "incidentals" and there was a HUGE problem with the key cards not working, so I was to be credited 2000 points, but the day clerk didn't get the memo, was surprised when I told her yet again they didn't work and we were to get points, and it still wasn't on my account a few days ago when I checked. It required several trips to the desk and waiting on a master key (maintenance guy was very nice too) but these problems aside, I would stay again, just stop holding extra for incidentals when a member has a card on file, hire bi-lingual or non-gameplaying staff, and if you promise points for an inconvenience, get them on the account ASAP and make sure everyone gets the memos. The pics I am loading are the way the front of the vanity and club looked upon check in. Those are not are marks - maybe the housekeeping staff should have it listed to windex wipe these items.
