An overrated hotel
Stayed here for two nights last Thursday and Friday. This is an overrated hotel with excellent location. The breakfast was mediocre and the staff was somewhat difficult to communicate. Our first room had a terrible leak from the ceiling, which flooded the bath room with yellow, filthy liquid at 3am. Although we were transferred to another room in ten minutes, it ruined our sleep and schedule. I have been traveling a lot and always can find satisfactory hotels through TA. Great, central location, nice hotel
Quality hotel that really is very central - most central sights within walking distance - but not in the midst of any noisy area. We thought the rooms and general hotel decor of good quality, all fittings very modern, great choice of breakfast, and the one meal we ate in was delicious. Wouldn't hesitate to visit again, as such an ideal base for sight-seeing, and so comfortable after a busy day.

Exactly what you'd expect
No frills to speak of but exactly what I wanted when making the unusual stop at an American franchise place. Big, clean, mini bar, ridiculous breakfast buffet.If I wanted a richer Prague experience, I'd stay at a funkier one-off... But, months on the road and it was time for sterile with creature comforts and mod-cons.

Fab location and a decent enough hotel
This hotel had exactly what we wanted:* a base close to the main sites - we walked EVERYWHERE! We didn't use public transport once and were able to walk to all the main sites. The hotel is right next to Powder Gate, a minute from Palledium shopping centre, five minutes to Wencelas Square. We also walked to the castle, Charles Bridge etc.* a decent sized room with all facilities needed - we had a fairly large room on the 4th floor. We had a bathroom with shower with shower gel, hairdryer, tissues etc. The bed was very comfy. The room was very quiet and nice and warm - but had air con too for the summer months. There was also tea and coffee making facilities, wifi in the room and a tv with BBC world news.* wifi - this was free and available all over the hotel, including our room.* a good breakfast - a real variety of food including cooked, breads, ham, cheeses, cereal, fruit salad, yoghurt, fruit, juices, cakes etc. A decent cup of coffee too. All self service and all food available even towards the end of service.On arrival we were given vouchers for a welcome beer which was a nice extra. There was also a free safe in the room but we did have to ask at reception for the key. There are two lifts but we did have a few steps up to our room so if walking is a problem do mention this when booking.The hotel wasn't beautiful but we didn't go to Prague for a stunning hotel - we went for a centrally placed based with good facilities and this is exactly what we got. We would stay again.

Good for a busy traveler
For the price and amazing location, this hotel is hard to beat. I'm amazed at all of the negative reviews about the rooms - remember that you are in Europe, where rooms will be smaller and possibly older than anything you've ever lived or slept in before. As for my experience, the bed was comfortable, the bathrooms very clean, the water hot, and the temperature regulated. The only problem was television, which only had 1-2 channels in English. This shouldn't be a deterrent, however. You're in Prague! Eat at the complimentary breakfast in the morning, walk 5 minutes to Old Town Square or 20 minutes to Prague Castle, and return to the hotel at night and rest assured that your belongings are safe and your room has been cleaned. This hotel doesn't put on airs as being a luxury hotel, but I don't understand why one would need anything beyond a clean room and excellent location near the Powder Gate if you're a tourist to Prague. A note about the restaurant - the primary waiter George is extremely nice and worth meeting over a beer. Food and drink are relatively expensive, but George will give you plenty of tips on Czech cuisine if you're unfamiliar.
