This is the first time I get disappointed with a choice made at picking an hotel. Probably bec. I've been deceived by the photos posted on some website (Can't remember which) and the rating there as well.First of all, the hotel is quite filthy.. furniture, doors, rugs, lighting, decorations, keys, telephone, everything is very very old and worn out. The luggage room is smelly. Doors are scratched everywhere, and the doorknob along with the key are quite difficult to get it open!Even more, it is mentioned that they have parking for cars, and they actually DO NOT. Mentioned that wifi works at a fee, but wifi does NOT work in rooms upstairs, only in the reception! The room does not have bathing package, only towels and low quality hand soap.It is mentioned that there's a minibar in the room, while there IS NOT, its place is empty and I called the reception, a very rude person answered and acted like he did not understand and hanged up, eventhough I mentioned my room number, so they can easily send someone to check (There are several receptionists, some are helpful and some are not).Even breakast did not taste good, not even coffee.Very awful place, would not want to go back and would never recommend it to anyone until they fix this hotel's system.

The hotel is located just off the Kurf¿¿rstendamm, in an area brimming with restaurants in various price ranges. We were given a reasonably sized double room, and a huge four-bed bedroom, with adequate facilities. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good and varied.On the downside, common spaces (which the hotel shares with some doctors' offices) are a bit worn out - the armchairs in the lobby are also up for replacement. Wooden floors are squeaky, and the plumbings noisy - an early bird may easily wake you up. However, if you can live with this, the hotel is excellent value for money. I would certainly be happy to come back.

I was fighting with myself to decide during the trip, if this hotel would earn a 3/5 or a 4/5. I really had nothing to complain, and this was a 3 star hotel. It was sure far above mediocrity, but don't you expect that also from an "average" hotel? Anyway, I ended up with the 4/5 for reasons I explain afterwards. Firstly, I was very satisfied from the stuff's behaviour. In the beginning we had a problem because, from what I understand in the little German I speak, somebody had given our room to another client. The stuff, however, fixed quite quickly the problem and gave us another room.The room was big enough, having in mind that this is a 3 star hotel. The bathroom on the other hand, was bigger than a 3 star hotel's expected bathroom. Wouldn't be surprised to see this in a 4 star hotel. I had no complains about the room service, which was exceptional making up the room everyday. Breakfast was absolutely satisfying. Everything you needed was there-eggs, fruits, variety of sausages, juice, musli, yogurt... the only thing missing was the sweets-but, again, you dont expect a 3 star or even 4 star hotel breakfast having a chocolate cake waiting. After all, breakfast was more than sufficient.Hotel's location is very good-Adenauer Platz is very close -I'd say a 5-7 minute walk from the hotel. I read in another review that you cannot go everywhere directly from this station, but this is the case for EVERY single place in Berlin. There are way too many lines, metro or aboveground, that you will always HAVE to change a line to get where you want. Unless if you stay in Adlon hotel right next to the Brandenburgen Tor. But this case will cost you 500 euros for 2 nights. So, hotel's location is characterized as very good.The hotel offers also an Internet corner, right next to the reception. This corner contains two computers. You will be unlucky if both are busy. Usually they are unoccupied and you will be able to sit there if you like. I have to mention that hotel's stuff was very subserving printing my boarding passes and helping me finding a way to get to the airport very early in the morning, since I had a flight at 6:15 to catch.How to get to the hotel: Since Berlin's railway system is way too complicated, I will offer you the fastest way to get to the hotel from Schonefeld airport (if you come from there): At the airport, catch the bus X7 or N7. This will take you to Rudow metro station. From there, it's the blue line directly to Adenauer Platz. After that you have a 5 minute walk to the hotel to make.Otherwise, you can catch the S45 train from the airport, disembark at Newkolln, and then use the blue line to arrive at Adenauer Platz.

I stayed here for 3 nights. It was clean, the staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful, and comfortable. The continental breakfast was pretty good. They had an interesting assortment of meats and cheeses and bacon and sausage and eggs and breads. The wifi was free, which was great. I left the "do not disturb" sign on the door most days and the maids would leave a fresh batch of towels in a bag on the door anyway, which I thought was a great touch. The location was fantastic if you're looking for a clean, safe neighborhood. If you're looking to party, this may not be the place for you.

We stayed 3 nights here. Upon arrival, we asked the reception if there was shower gel and hair shampoo in the room and the answer was "No". Later on, we found them in the bathroom. Wifi does not work at all. When enquiring at the reception about it, the answer we got was:" I don't know, it SHOULD work! Moreover, when we asked how far Berlin Tegel airport was, the answer was: "I don't know, maybe 30-40 min". It took us 10 minutes with the taxi to get there. Conclusion of the stay: Unfriendly staff at the reception, not informed about anything.The same applies to the ladies in the breakfast room who were removing food and drinks 10 minutes BEFORE 10 am instead of waiting at least a few minutes after 10 am to show a sign of hospitality and politeness. Room carpet: very dirty, window frames: not changed in the last 40 years!Do spend 50 euros more per night and have a descent stay. This is our advice.
