The Sweet Spot
Name-brand hotels tend to be expensive while budget hotels are sometimes old, worn and dirty. The sweet spot is a hotel that carries a budget brand but with name-brand comfort and location.The ClockTower is in that sweet spot.It has all the comfort of the larger chain hotels, has free parking, and is modestly priced for its location in downtown Billings. The restaurant/bakery next door is owned by the same family; it's great too.

Best experience in a mid-price hotel
The price went up some since a couple of years ago, but the quality of the experience went up much, much more. Renovated rooms are attractive, highly functional, with many little thoughtful touches (e.g., the ottoman slides under the chair - available, but not in the way). Phone staff and desk staff are awesome. Restaurant on property is the locals' favorite, too. Walk anywhere in downtown - loads of restaurants, shops, points of interest.

Not good. Unforgettable bad experience
The place is small and outdated. It's basically a cheap motel that desperately saids it is not. Asked for double beds, and was asked to pay an extra $20. When I declined, the girl than offered a rollout bed, which I thought was a nice gesture, until she told me this will be another $10. What hotel does that?!? Seriously, are u kidding me?

Best Place to Stay In Billings, MT
A very nice Motel, that is in the heart of Billings. Walking distance to some of the best restaurants in Montana. Rooms are newly redone and have very comfortable beds. A good value. The restaurant attached to the hotel severs the best breakfast in Billings. Go early to get a table. Hotel has covered parking, so no worries during storms.

Home Away from Home
This has become one of my favorite places to stay; I have no idea why. It's old, though it has been updated nicely. The only thing not updated are the squeaky floor boards! Seriously, if your neighbors are strolling around their unit, it will sound like they're in yours! Weird. Other than that, it's just great!Staff are professional and knock themselves out to help you, whatever you need. There is a fitness room and a sauna, also an office space in the lobby. Conveniently located, there is a great shop on the block for your vehicle, good dining--Walker's for dinner, and try McCormick's on Montana for breakfast!--the Post Office is kitty-corner. It's all very easy. I especially like to walk down to the Good Earth Market and get eats. Great value for your dollar and lots of interesting deli case items. It's on 2nd, walk west. They are a co-op and have a juice and espresso bar.Try it, you'll like it!
