Exactly what was expected
After quite some time reviewing hotels for our first trip to Munich, we selected the Europa Hotel. It was exactly what we expected based on our research. The staff were very helpful and spoke impeccable English. The hotel was very clean and efficiently run, the room was spacious and had good facilities, with the exception of a coffee maker and the usual lack of English language channels on the TV as is the case in most European hotels previously visited. The breakfast and free in room wifi were the best features of this hotel. True, it is a little distance from the city centre but there is a tram stop and u-bahn station a short walk from the hotel. Would definitely recommend.

rooms great, location a bit dodgy
It took us a while to find our hotel from the train station, and walking past sex shops, casinos and soup kitchens was a bit of concern. But once we got there and had orientated ourselves, it turned out to be a reasonable location. The rooms were pretty much what you expect for a 3-4 star hotel in Australia or America, including a bath, which was great because the weather was cold; with snow and sleet.We found the dinner menu to be a bit limited, but adequate and I found the staff to be very friendly and chatty, if given the opportunity. In fact a front desk staffer rang our next hotel in Italy to confirm that an airport transfer had been organised. Breakfast was substantial.Once we worked out the multiple choices for public transport we found that even over Easter we had lots of options for getting around to see the things that interested us most.

Great value and very good breakfast!
Very nice, basic and clean hotel. Close to tram and subway. Very good breakfast with loads to choose from. Service was good and helpful. Free wifi was included in room price. Nice restaurants nearby. We would choose this hotel again!

Competitive price, well located, but not impressive venue
The hotel is well located, not far from the center, but right on a major thoroughfare. The reception area already puts you in the mood of the hotel, small, not well lighted.At the time of my stay, part of the venue was under renovation, and they were storing construction material all over the parking spots of their garage, reducing the number of available spots drastically, making you hesitate to take your car to the city for diner, as I was never sure whether I would find (hardly) a spot in the garage for my carMy room was very small, half what I would get at the holiday inn (where I went after spending 2 days in the Europa hotel), about the size of the double bed, a desk + 2 chairs. No english speaking channel working at the time of my stay (they did listed CNN or CNBC, but none was effectively working. Breakfast was good, and varied.The staff was nice, but didnt speak very good english. I happen to forget a a tube of (prescription) cream in my room, and went the next day to ask for it, apparently it had disapeared, the cleaning staff never brought it to the reception, and most probably throw it away (being a medical product, they would have no use of it...)Overall a good spot to stay 1 night, it s convenient and quite if you get on a room on the back of the hotel. And reasonnably priced for Munich
