Nice big hotel. Surrounding area leaves much to be desired though, there's a group of homeless dudes living under the road bridge opposite and thieves...

high-flown name and no alternative nearby
You¿¿¿ll have to choose this hotel coz it is the closest one to the railway station but be ready to come into collision with several unpleasant things.1. the Staff. The receptionist who was at the time of my arrival didn¿¿¿t get my request to have a quiet room (evidently this means the room on the quiet side of the hotel where you can¿¿¿t hear the outside noise). And she gave me the room on that side where we could hear the night disco during the night and the construction works during our mornings. The hostess (a young man) at the entrance of the breakfast room was very fishy and has been interrogating not letting us enter like a police man or like we enter a vip zone of the night club without having rights for this. I heard that Italian employers nowadays prefer to give a job to lower-paid stuff but such persons often have bad manners and don¿¿¿t understand this fact and don¿¿¿t want to improve themselves.2. the room. I will not be repeating all the reviews. You can read them and take a look at the photos. They are telling the truth. I would only write here that the last morning we decided to turn on the TV. Firstly we¿¿¿ve spent 30 minutes to find the remote control and we haven¿¿¿t found it. After I found out also that the antenna feeler has been torn away from the TV set and dangled from the wall. Probably the cleaning lady took away the remote control in order not to disappoint us. We have paid more than 300 Euros per 2 nights and I suppose we could have everything included in the price?3. the internet. Sincerely I don¿¿¿t think that if you are supposed to pay so much for your stay the hotel should charge you for using Wi-Fi as well. 2 euros per 1 hour of use, have you ever seen such prices? Whatever hotel I stayed at I always had an option of internet that was free of charge coz its normal and necessary for the most part of travellers, and internet of a higher speed which was chargeable.4. the breakfast. It¿¿¿s good only if you like the croissants coz you¿¿¿ll find many different types of them during the breakfast. But if you are used to eat for ex. omelette be ready that it will be absolutely disgusting and made of special synthetic semi-finished liquid product which doesn¿¿¿t have anything in common with the natural one.

Good location
The only good thing in this hotel is location which is nearby a train station just across the road.Room was old and a bit dirty.when I was stayed there an area around the hotel was under construction that makes worst environment.You may also hear the noise from the club nearby the hotel in the night.

nice hotel
Nice big hotel. Surrounding area leaves much to be desired though, there's a group of homeless dudes living under the road bridge opposite and thieves and beggars dominate the train station. Train station is just across the road but make sure you don't go near the homeless bit. Travel to Milan at your own risk, they even try to steal the money as you're putting it in the ticket machines, then it's a free for all as they try to get your change!

Lack of hospitality
The hotel has a location near Garibaldi station which is convenient. This is the best thing of the hotel. The rooms are terrible, old, broken things, dirty wallpaper, dirty rooms. The worst thing is the hospitality if you want to check in or out. They speak English very bad, they are very unfriendly and you have to pay every day for WIFI internet by purchasing a code. This has to be bought every 24 hours at the front desk for 12 Euros. Breakfast is OK, The FIAT club in the hotel is a good club. The hotel bar however is a disaster.

newly renovated and convenient to the Porta Garibaldi Station
We stayed in a large newly renovated room. The hotel is conveniently located near lots of restaurants and across from the train station which is very important if your train leaves at 7am! We only stayed one night but we would certainly stay here again.
