A perfect get away.
It was only when chatting to Raefella (the manager) that we realised we had stayed at Hotel Torre Barbara each year since 2009. This is a beautiful small hotel, just 17 rooms, and the staff are very diligent to the needs of all guests.Seiano is a wonderful place, if you care to explore it on foot you will find hidden paths down to the beach. The food at the hotel is excellent, but local eateries are also recommended for a change of location and very reasonably priced. The hotel is very happy to,pick you up after a meal out.The Circumvesuviana train line is not far away which takes you to Naples, Pompei, Herculaneum, Sorrento, and from here you can take the ferries to the Amalfi coast, Capri and Naples. Train travel is reliable and very reasonable.We tend to visit at the end of April when the season is just starting and the temperature is in the low 20's celcius. This enables us to visit places and do walks (Mount Faito) without the crush of holiday makers and extreme heat. This location is totally ideal for those who are active and like exploring areas by themselves, or just like to relax on the local beach and eat wonderful food and drink the local wine and beer.

Heaven
My wife and I have been dreaming of our return to the Hotel Torre Barbara since our last stay there three years ago. This latest stay has confirmed our conviction that this is one of the loveliest hotels you will find in all of Italy. It is located in a hopelessly romantic spot, with wonderful views across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvio. The grounds surrounding the hotel are beautiful, with overflowing flowers, fruit and fig trees, and an expansive terrace where one can relax and take it all in. The staff could not be more accomodating; they make you feel as though you are one of the family without ever being overbearing. Raffaella especially goes out of her way to ensure that your time at the Hotel Torre Barbara is special, and she delivers. My wife and I have travelled extensively throughout Italy, and this is the one hotel that we will continue to return to as often as we can. We promise, you will not be disappointed with this little slice of heaven on the Sorrentine Peninsula.

meraviglioso!
i have been there in may...it was a fantastic time in my life! everything is such good: food, accommodation, staff. only 1 thing makes feeling bad- transfer. hotel stays far from circumvesuviana station and you need to call a driver to getting you up. but the driver comes very fast and no problems if you want to go for a dinner in some restaurants he will lift you up to the best on the nearest place, as vico equense and some others. (free transfer)

Great hotel with stunning view
We stayed here in August during a tour of the Amalfi coast. I think what sets this hotel apart is the staff and administration. Because of their location they offer a free shuttle service to help you travel around the area.The hotel is very nice and the rooms were well furnished and the bathrooms were very nice. Since we were there during the summer breakfast was served out on the terrace with an amazing view of the ocean. The breakfast buffet was varied and a little quirky, but in a good way; lots of pies and cakes in addition to the standard fare of coffee, tea, fruit, yogurt and bread.We found the staff to be amazing - as I said this is probably one of the two aspects that sets the hotel apart. We had a very late arrival from Napoli on the train, but after speaking with the hotel the van met us at the train stop and took us directly to the hotel. We used the van at least twice a day for the three nights we stayed there. We called the hotel on our way back to Seiano on the train and the van was always waiting for us. The van also took us to the Capri ferry which was nice. All of this was included.The second aspect that sets this hotel apart is the dinner. During the summer they partnered with a restaurant from out of town. Each night they set up an amazing dinner operation. They offered a special set menu for hotel guests or you could order off the normal menu. In addition, they made it a priority to set guests on tables nearest to the edge of the terrace for the best views, which was a nice touch. Dinners were very Italian, late and long, but the food was unbelievable. In addition, due to the location of the Hotel along a crowded highway there are no other dinner options to walk and driving can be hectic. We chose to sit back and relax and avail ourselves of the options set up by the hotel and we were not disappointed.

STUNNING VIEW.
Stayed here on our last night of a week along the Amalfi Coast and chose this as we had an early flight from Napoli and wanted to be closer to the airport. I wished we had stayed longer !! The hotel is lovely with superb views over the Gulf of Naples. The sunset on the night we stayed was breathtaking - and the view from the terrace stunning. Room well appointed and bathroom great with a jacuzzi bath. Very well placed for Sorrento and Pompei et al. Highly recommended.
