7 night stay as wife's family were staying nearby. It is the perfect location for a beach holiday. However I must point out that if you ask for a sea view and if you like to sleep with an open window the noise from the front bar of the hotel goes on until 3 and then the beach cleaning machines and rubbish removal start about 5.30. When the ac broke down and we were told it could not be repaired until September I wanted to run but nowhere to go. We did get a free night as compensation. The rooms and bathrooms are old and basic so it's all about the setting if you want a crowded beach holiday. Out of season would be much better.

Les Flots Bleus has the perfect position right in the centre of the beautiful Saint Clair beach in Le Lavandou. We were a family of 5 and were placed in a functional family unit at the back of the hotel (nice and quiet but not much ambience). The unit had three rooms, one with double bed, one with two single beds and one with a sleeper couch, one bathroom (with shower and basin) and a standalone toilet. The unit also had a powerful air conditioner (which is a must) and a bar fridge which is important for stocking up on drinks and cheeses. Though the accommodation was fairly basic one cannot underestimate the importance of the proximity of Les Flots Bleus when it comes to popping back and forward between the beach and room.The weather (ten out of ten) and swimming (especially water clarity and temperature) at Saint Clair was out of this world. Saint Clair beach is very busy in July so if you're looking for something quiet then this is not your destination. It appears to be a popular local spot with little English spoken. The receptionist at Les Flots however speaks English fluently.Towels and small umbrellas are available from the hotel but you can rent a lounger at one of the five concessions for about 20 euro.We rented a car from Toulon Hyeres airport (which is about twenty minutes away) and the hotel has parking space which is critical as it is otherwise impossible to find in Saint Clair.There are numerous restaurants and beach bars (icy Rose and Croque Monsieur!) catering for all tastes. We found a little ¿¿¿depot de pain¿¿¿ just off the beach road where we stocked up with bread and croissants for breakfasts. You can also have a decent breakfast at the hotel for 9 euro. I think it is worth including the breakfast in your package.Le Lavandou village - with plenty of restaurants and entertainment options - is a ten minute walk away along either the road or a windy coastal path.We loved our stay at Les Flots Bleus and would definitely go again.

This hotel is a perfect family place which is right in front of the beach. We booked a room with seaview and spacious enough to accommodate our baby grandson who needed a cot. The room had space enough however the cot was completely deformed and the baby had to share our bed. We never slept well because of the paper thin walls! We also had noise all night coming from the street below - holiday makers who were strolling about and their voices carried right into our room together with the awful odours from the restaurant just beneath.Breakfast could have been wonderful out in the shaded courtyard but the hotel lacks in numbers of staff with only one young lady to take care of it all. So, not enough saucers for coffee, insufficient plates, food going very quickly ..... impossible for one person to take care of clients, keep the dishes full on the buffet, wash cups etc and most important of all, keep the tables clean for next guests.We spoke to people who had been staying there for many summers and apparently one should ask for a room at the back.At 165 Euros without breakfast (even tho there was free parking) we found it expensive.

My partner and I discovered the hotel les flots bleus quite by accident five years ago. We have returned every year, sometimes in both June and September. We have never been disappointed. The hotel is charming and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Accommodation is spotlessly clean and breakfast at the flots bleus is the perfect start to any day. We have just unwillingly had to leave the hotel this morning but we are already looking forward to returning in September Highly recommended

The first thing to say about Les Flots Bleus is that the situation is unbeatable; just a small road with slow moving, one way traffic between it and the beach. The beach itself is wonderful; sheltered with golden sands, life guard station and concessions for restaurants and chairs. I'm not sure if you could say it is off the tourist track but it is about a 15 minute walk in to Le Lavandou. Perfect spot for a beach holiday.The hotel is quite simply furnished in a Provencal style, the rooms have air conditioning and good TVs but when we were there in June 2012 no english programmes were available. Our bath room was a little worn but superbly functional and the bed very comfortable. House-keeping was excellent and the staff helpful and friendly. We did book a superior room through a booking agency but our room did not look like some of the illustrations on the web site; judging by price however I think the fault may have been with the booking agency. In future I would go direct to the hotel. There was good secure car parkingThere were excellent breakfasts with fresh fruit, cold meats, cheese and of course wonderful croissants and coffee, all far superior to our previous experience with with French breakfasts. This was served on an extensive terrace. There are several other hotels and restaurants close by so there was no lack of choice for evening meals and the bar of Les Flots was a great place to relax at the end of the day.
