Great staff, fabulous food and very relaxed atmosphere.
Visited today with family and friends to celebrate my daughter's Confirmation. We all had great meals and the staff were most courteous. My parents stayed overnight and their room was spacious. Their only complaint was that they couldn't open a window or balcony door for fresh air. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel. Perhaps one or two more bar staff might make things better in the bar area?

Good value
We spent 2 nights in this hotel with a group of tourist on a tour of Ireland. Location : remote, you need a car. Rooms : OK, large, clean, quiet. The bed was so comfortable ! Modern TV, bathroom OK. There are several groups of tourists at one time, so the timing of the meals is quite tight : 7.15 PM for one group, 7.30 for the next group.... and it becomes rather noisy. People travelling on their own eat in another room (I hope) or later.... Many businessmen also, wedding parties.... it's one of these hotels that make more money with "events" than with anything else.

Suite was worth every penny!
Stayed last weekend for my hen party. The hotel was lovely but our suite was fab. Worth every penny. Really clean and airy. The view of the lake was beautiful. The only two negatives were the lack of a welcome basket of some sort in the suite and the website said there was a nightclub, which in fact is no longer opened. Besides that we had a very enjoyable stay.

5 star experience
I cannot recommend Lough Rea Hotel and spa highly enough. We had our wedding with them last weekend and what an experience it was. Karl, Jennifer and all the staff we fantastic. Every guest said the food was amazing and the service second to none. We were so well looked after and we will be forever grateful

Very pleasant stay
We had a very enjoyable one night stay in this hotel to attend a family party locally .Other members of our family stayed and all were very pleased .Very spacious rooms with armchair area. Beds very comfortable . Safe, ironing board and iron supplied .Food very good in restaurant and breakfast selection excellent and fresh cooked breakfast included . All staff very friendly and helpfull . . Did'nt have time to try Spa .
