Don't be fooled, it's still a basic Hotek!
Stayed at the Hotel Ciampino for 3 nights whilst working at the airport. Location is a good combination of near the airport & on the outskirts of the city.It portrais itself as a decent hotel but its still fairly basic. Despite what they say WIFI access could only be accessed in the foyer & not the room. The hotel shuttle bus to the airport only officially runs until 8:30am but occasionally you can arrange a lift up until 12:00.Airconditioning in my room didn't work & after I reported this it was apparently fixed - I think not!If you want a hotel near the airport (especially one with a pool) there's not much choice & you could certainly do much worse than the Hotel Ciampino.

Very nice!
The hotel was clean, the rooms are nice,it is really close to the train station to go to rome (10' minutes till rome termini) they also offer bus shuttle to ciampino airpost, only 4 euros , if you have an early flight! The internet connection it is not so good but there is a computer in the lobby.

Served its purpose
Stayed here the night before an early flight home to avoid morning rush hour traffic. The hotel itself is pretty clean and the staff very polite and helpful. Obviously with its close proximity to the trainline and airport there is a certain level of noise, which stops between 0000 - 0600. We ate in the hotel and the food was reasonably priced (a rarity in Rome) and tasty.Be aware that the rooms have double doors leading onto a terrace/balcony, however many of these are broken and do not shut properly or lock. We raised this with management but with it being a Sunday they couldn't repair it. The same excuse was given when we discovered that the hot water in the hotel was broken. However, fair play to the hotel, they discounted our already very cheap stay.

Stayed 1 night great for relaxing before you going for a flight
Room was clean. Pool was clean too great for a little relaxing time if your catching flights. Town is nice and quiet apart from the planes but after a couple and living under glasgow airport flight path you get used to them. Would advise you don't get the taxi to the airport too expensive. 10-15 walk to the train station and bus to the airport. Stayed in rome for 3 nights then 1 night could have have stayed longer. Just so relaxing after the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Advise if you want a chill before u go home spend a day/night here.
