very good location to beach.Staff were pleasant food ok.Small swimming pool on roof not a big problem as beach so near. Nightly entertainment ok.Room basic but ok.Downside of our holiday was positon of room far to near local bar and disco very,very, very, noisy from 11pm to 3am every night constent loud shouting screaming etc. Would recommend when booking to specify sea view facing rooms. New Double glazing would perhaps help?????? Also tea making facilties in the room would not go a miss!!!!!!!!

Very good location, on the sandy beach. A lot of food, not bad food, but dirty dishes (plates, glasses). The pool is small, but I didn't use it (almost nobody did) because the see was in front of the hotel and the water was clean and warm. The chamber maid never changed the bedding in 10 days, just towels.

I'd rather have slept on a bench!We have just returned from a bank holiday weekend break in Blanes where we made the mistake of staying at the Mar Ski hotel.Whilst the location was great overlooking the beach the hotel itself was terrible.The staff were unhelpful and didnt speak much English and they clearly do not like the English.On arrival our room was not ready although it had passed the stated check in time. We asked if there was somewhere we could leave our luggage while we got something to eat and was told to leave it in the bar yet a Spanish couple also checking in were told to put their luggage in a small secure room behind the reception desk!The food was repulsive. Despite being in the dining room at 7.30 am for breakfast the bread was dry and the scrambled eggs were green.Dinner wasnt any better.... A large leg of pork was being carved at a dedicated spot in the dining area ( which was dirty )My son went to get some pork and when returned to the table he asked if the pork was safe to eat because as he held it up on his fork it was dripping blood.Small children were not catered for either unless you are happy to feed them chips, chips and more chips for the duration of your stay.So unless you are German ( and i have nothing against the Germans at all! ) I would avoid this hotel completely.

My friend and myself stayed at the mar Ski Hotel Blanes sain fora long week end, the position was god right on the beach very central, but the hotel itself needs a lot to be desired for, you have to check outby 10 am in the morning this is very early also the first morning we went down for breakfast I asked for some butter, and was tld the butter had finished only margarine, am surethat they had more in their fridge but could not be bothered to get it, as breakfast finished 10 am we went down 9 40am, the corn flakes were stale and the rest looked like it had died really bad and i don't eat much my friend the same, the coffee was from a machine like water and cold, also the staff most un helpful there were 5 or 6 stairs to go up. I have a wheelchair, as i cannot walk a lot and my friend likes to get around and likes me to see places, they watched her struggle up the stairs with it some times people passsing would stop and ask to help or we had to ask people staying in the hotel, they were the helpful ones n not the staff, the bedroom was so small my chair had to stay in the lobby, also my sheet had a stain on it, thank goodness we only stayed 2 nights and for 90 euro's a night I/we expected a little better, though it is high season also our room was very small, and only one very smalll bar of soap, but that is not a problem as I/we always take some small bars with also shower gel and shampoo, if you wanted to watch the TV you had to go to reception and ask for the remote, we did not need it, not sure if you had to pay for it,, also the in room safe you had to pay for, but we locked our valuables in a cabin size case for our security and safety, the swimming pool wel i have seen larger nes in peoples homes, and was not wel maintained, all bits in it, this was on the roof top, but after getting out the lift you had quite a few stairs to cope with, not worth the effort, so if you are planning on going to this hotel think again, no help with your luggage as well, only one girl on reception having to cope, as soon as we arrived they demamnded payment, after all they did have our passports, sorry friends for this review, but one must be so honest when posing these, so please give this one a miss at all costs

We stayed at the hotel Mar Ski Blanes , and we wished we had not. We were the only British in the hotel. The entire hotel, including food and entertainment was based around Germans. We had to pay 80 euros to have a sea view, which i am glad we did, as every other room overlooked a shabby side street. It cost us a fortune, as we decided to eat out on most occassions, which was a waste of paying for half board. A holiday to forget!!!
