A Tranquil Escape
As I travel with a disabled wife I was looking for a comfortable hotel with easy accessibility and car parking. Not only did the hotel provide this, but it is also a haven of tranquility. The grounds are beautiful. Orange, lemon and grapefruit trees are interspersed with gazebos and corners to find peace and shade. The pool has a jacuzzi section and the sunbeds and the loungers have elegant cushions. The dining room is a large conservatory. The round tables have crisp cotton cloths and drapes with stunning central arrangements of flowers. There is a large terrace overlooking the garden where it is possible to eat outdoors. Drinks or coffee in the bar or grounds would be accompanied by nibbles or miniature biscuits and pastries.Our clean well appointed room had a balcony. As the hotel is inland we had only distant views of the Bay of Naples.We had bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, even toothbrushes provided. A plentiful supply of thick towels were provided every day.All the staff were welcoming and friendly and were committed to make our stay as perfect as possible. The manager went out of his way to introduce himself and to speak to us and ensure we were content.You may be seduced into not leaving the hotel, but if you do you will find that you are well placed for exploring the Sorrentina Peninsula, Amalfi, Pompeii, and the remarkable ruins around Vesuvius. There are also two interesting ruins of Roman villas very close to the hotel and in the evening you will always have the quiet serenity of La Grand Medusa to return to. Visit. You will not be disappointed.

BEST WEEK EVER!!
For our 'family together' holiday in July 2012 my wife and I along with our 21 and 17 year old sons agreed to go to Italy for the first time. We decided on Castellammare which would be central to our chosen area from Naples, Pompeii & Vesuvius, along the Amalfi Coast from Salerno to Positano, then to Sorrento and to the island of Capri. Weather and scenery were absolutely marvelleous BUT.......what made our week even more unforgettable was LA MEDUSA GRAND. On arrival we turned from the unpretentious surroundings of what had been an industrial town into a beautiful driveway with palm trees and immaculate grounds and in front of us stood this beautiful traditional large house. Inside was no less impressive in standard of decor and cleanliness. The reception staff welcomed us as into their home and we knew this was going to be good. Our bedrooms were of good size and looked over the orange grove which filled the grounds behind the main building and to our right lay a most inviting pool and sun loungers. The restaurant and terrace with their wonderfull menu were superb. All the staff without exception considered for us absolutely perfectly in a most professional and friendly manner. (As if we might forget what had been our best every hotel and holiday the manager on hearing of our departure being before breakfast was being served insisted they provide a packed breakfast for us which we thoroughly enjoyed after ckecking in at the airport to come home). If you want to relax and be pampered in perfect tranquillity with just maybe a few little children among the guests to make you smile then choose La Medusa Grand Hotel. Real godfather country!
Loved this hotel. Took my son two winters ago. Total luxury and fabulous grounds. However, all got a bit strange when suddenly the restaurant was closed and we had to get pizza up the road. Yet there were several gents in the dining room...! They all were very welcoming however and there was a real touch of old world glamour about the place.

A taste of real Italy.
Hotel is very clean and tidy, and the staff work hard to keep it like that. All of the staff were nice and very polite, a real Italian welcome. The room I had was ok for a couple. I went out of season so the bar wasn't open all of the time, but when asked they opened it. Hotel is a taxi ride from the city unless you know the short cut and then it's a ten min walk. The town itself could do when a lick of paint and a clean up,

great view ,great people ,like the garden in the back full of oranges pool was closed but the hotel its self very impressive tiles on the floor and the furniture made all with taste,bar and the breakfast riooms are very nice to has great view and great food
