Extremely overpriced!
The bad: The rooms are small and the road noise large. For the amount I spent on my room, I would like not to hear a car alarm go off or the loud sound of the highway. The parking $27.00. (Try to find parking on the street, which is 20 feet outside the lobby of the hotel). I I also didn't like the time it took for someone to acknowledge us in the restaurant.. Moreover, the beach is small and deteriorating. The front desk guy couldn't answer a question about a charge on my bill, he had to call a manager, they kept me waiting which I didn't appreciate.The good: The rooms are decorated nicely, and the views of the ocean are stunning. Overall, I don't feel the price matches the quality. I am not a complainer, but I do hate feeling ripped off. But, that is just me.

One of my FAVORITE hotels
I came on here to write a review and could not believe that there was even one bad review! I took my boyfriend here for a one night stay for his birthday, just a few weeks ago. Aside from the price, I loved this hotel. The rooms were very clean, kind of narrow, but included a nice fire place, plus the fabulous view. And the fact that there is a private beach for guests of the hotel, only, is great, too. The one downside of the place would definitely have to be the prices. For two pina coladas, and a plate of a few chips w/ salsa came out to over $50. What is kind of annoying is the fact that they include the tip in your bill I mean, do they really need to add the 15% tip to a little meal you eat on the beach? The next morning, we had breakfast at the restaurant overlooking the ocean, and it oddly came out cheaper than our two drinks with chips, but other than that, the breakfast was great. I've always been a sucker for nice views. Other than the fact that our one night stay + breakfast came out to a total of $800, (yeah, i know) it was a lovely little getaway. The views from the room and from the restaurant made for some great instagram photos, and every time I look at them, it makes me want to go back to the weekend we stayed here. I love this hotel, and don't think it should have the word "inn" attached to the end of it.Oh, and no, there is no pool or fitness center, but that honestly didn't bother me at all like it did some people.

Worth Every Penny
We were in Malibu for a meeting and decided to splurg on an oceanfront hotel. Fantastic experience...from our first encounter with the valet...front desk...our oceanfront room...to our small dinner party at the resturant. All of our needs were met with an attentive and courteous staff!If you would like a special experience, just ask! The staff will try to make it happen. We had very specific requests for our little dinner party. Jan and the rest of the staff made it the perfect evening for our group!There are other choices for larger hotels in LA, but this hotel is intimate and on the beach. This hotel now goes down as one of our "Little Gems!"

One word - WOW!
What a place! Perfect setting, stunning rooms, excellent serviceStayed here for just one night on our way to Palm Springs and tbh, wanted to stay forever!Turn down service was amazing, came back from our meal to find the beds sorted (we needed the sofa bed) coffee machine out, robes ready, chocolate gifts - we felt so well looked after and pampered. Nothing too much trouble for any of the staffThe only small downside and it is small - the food is, to my taste just average but didn't have any effect on my feelings about the placeWell done everyone! Hope to return in the future

Glorious hotel
We stayed at this hotel last December for 2 nights and loved everything about it! Location could be difficult if you didnt have a car. However, they do have onsite parking and in the off season street parking is easily accessible. We have never stayed at a hotel that manages to cater to every possible need you may have in your hotel room before. Top quality furnishings and fittings - one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and service above and beyond. Ice delivered to our room, drinks given to us by the doormen as we left! What more could you ask for. You could say that the hotel is pricey but we were lucky to get a greatly reduced rate online..however I would definitely say that it is worth paying the full price for as we loved every moment.
