Excellent Hotel-Perfect for Relaxation
This hotel was extraordinary, if you want somewhere to relax this is the place to go.The rooms are very spacious, and clean. wifi throughout the entire hotel and the pool areathis was a GREAT PLUS! The Pool was very relaxing, Chairs comfortable and plenty to go round,The service rendered by the staff was all exceptional and staff go out of their way to be helpful.The restaurant is beautiful, the food Dinner menu is set meals andchange Daily also very reasonable priced. If you don't like the dinner menu you can always ask for the luch time one that Has the bestOmelets and chips/french fries the Hame and Cheese was my favourite. Over all I Loved the spacious room we had and the fantastic views around the Hotel Grounds.They have a fantastic Buisness plan to do Wedding Parties where you rent the entire Hotel and your Guest can enjoy a private Hotel just with your Guests. Great Pacakages on offer.

Cant wait until my next stay!
This was my 3rd time at Colina Verde, I have had one family holiday with my husband and two children aged 10 and 7, the last 2 have been just the girls. The youngest of the girls 35 years (me) the oldest 87 (my gran) and I cannot wait until my next visit. My last visit we arrived at the resort at 1am we were sorted out with our key and up in our room in no time, all of us girls were shocked that the next day our room got cleaned and bedding changed, how lovely to get in to a fresh bed every night, our rooms were cleaned and bed changed every day! The whole resort is spotless, every morning there were staff cleaning outside, the view from our room was just stunning. no noise at night so we had lots of energy to sunbathe during the day ( can¿¿¿t beat the Algarve weather) my 87 year old gran who when back in the uk hardly goes out of her front door is a different person she de-ages about 30 years, the staff are fantastic they can¿¿¿t do enough for you first the restaurant staff they had some very fussy eaters and we left there every time happy and full and did not feel the need to leave the resort to eat, cleaners what more can I add about them not only great at what they do and obviously work very hard but always smiling, reception staff life savers the only negative about our whole trip was the transfer company we used, they got us a little lost on the way there, lucky I sort of knew the area and pointed him in the right direction, then when we tried to confirm our lift back to the airport they were messing us about with times the man from reception Nelson spent ages trying to get through to the company and eventually did, lucky for us! I plan to return again in May with the girls and then in the summer with the family and I can¿¿¿t wait.....

Business Trip
This was my second stay at Colina Verde. I stayed for 6 days during October. I was in Portugal for business this time without my family. This resort is ideal for being able to relax in between meetings and it gave me a chance to catch up on my golf. The restaurant staff have changed since my last visit. The food was good before and the standard has been maintained since the changes. You can have a three course meal for around ¿¿¿15. One thing that was better this time in the restaurant was the waiters, they made sure I had everything I needed during the day and evening. I also noticed that the resort is under going some improvements to the outside areas, I heard that a marquee is being erected for weddings, which will make this resort an ideal location for wedding parties.

What a pity!
Third time here. Previous two times were very good, mainly due to the friendliness of the staff and the good food in the restaurant. Now that they've decided to change the staff and menu, the quality is very poor! I am not sure I will return for a fourth time.What a pity.

Nice location, but suffering the recession
Played golf here. As another reviewer commented, the course is suffering from under-investment. Some of the greens have bald patches and weeds, and the course is generally very dry. Maybe they are hoping to convert it into a full 18 hole development, judging by the model in the reception.Service was somewhat lacking. No food was on offer because they had a football team for lunch. I found it hard to swallow that a supposed 4-star hotel couldn't offer even a sandwich service just because they had a table of sports stars to deal with.The outdoor pool area seemed nice and they were decent recreation facilities like pool and table tennis so with a little more staff and money this place could be good once more. But currently, it's not quite worth the trip.
