Fine but Noisy
We did not plan on staying here but following a water pipe bursting at our planned hotel across the street, our original hotel made arrangements for us here. The check-in process was easy and the hotel looks very clean and nice. People were lovely. The room was fine, nothing spectacular but nothing wrong with it either. We did not use the pool or the dining or any other services while there.I know it can't be helped but we had a huge issue with the noise. We could hear anything and everything in our room. The people above us, beside us, across from us, and playing shuffleboard at the hotel behind us. We could hear talking, showering, flushing, walking, TVs, anything. To make it worse we were close to an entry point so once people started coming back from Disney around 10pm it was a constant parade of loud people and screaming kids for the next couple hours. Now I know this is to be expected to some extent but the place we usually stay we have never had this issue. In fact we also have never noticed the disney fireworks at our normal place but they sounded right outside the window here. I feel bad because it did seem like a perfectly lovely hotel but we would never stay again, it really put a damper on our day at Disney because our kids were kept up past midnight the night before and we were all exhausted most of the day. So you need to at the least request something far from an entry point. We stayed in a room where you drove around to the rear of the hotel to enter. Also parking is an issue. If you are not back at a reasonable time you will potentially have to park far from your nearest entry point (or illegally as many people did).

Wouldn't choose anywhere else
We've stayed here several times in the past but were a bit concerned for this trip reading some of the reviews. We needn't have worried, we contacted the manager Laura and she was able to reassure us. We stayed 2 nights at the beginning our our trip in a one bedroomed suite ( 2 double beds) We'd requested a balcony but were advised that generally suites don't have balconies, however we were offered a ground floor suite which had a small patio area. It was one of the largest suites we've ever stayed in and the first one to have windows in both the bedroom and the living area. Breakfast was excellent with everything you could ask for and included juice and coffee, it was part of our room rate but even if we'd had to pay $9.95 it was a bargain.The hotel is in a great location, set well back off the road, nice and quiet, with everywhere easy to get to, loads of restaurants all around. The hotel also has beautiful outside space . We then went off to explore the gulf coast with plans to return to Orlando for our flight home. After 7 nights on Marco Island we couldn't wait to return to this hotel - we emailed Laura who arranged for us to have the same suite and another wonderful 5 nights with them.Our thanks to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable, can't remember all the names ,but manager Laura who I've mentioned, also Rob on the front desk and Debbie who was our waitress. Thanks to you all, this is a great hotel.

Outdated and musty
As you walk in the room the musty smell is the first thing you notice. I then noticed the clean but old and outdated furniture. It was in only so so condition. As I walk around the room disappointed I find ants on the bathroom counter and kitchen counter and huge grasshopper on drapes. The front desk manager was great at service recovery and had it sprayed immediately and sent a very nice thank you. We had two rooms and used Marriott points. They refunded one room one nights points. The Disney shuttle schedule was very lacking. If you didn't leave at 7:45am the next one wasn't until 10:15 with the same at night.

hidden gem close to parks & restaraunts
we had a super-fun family vacation here, based mostly on parks such as Seaworld ( loved) , aquatica ( great for a hot day) , and busch gardens ( 12-yr. old loved it, just OK for adults). This is very close to many parks, strip malls & restaurants so you will not lack for mismatched socks, and other shop-til-you-drop florida experiences your wallet can handle.The staff is really well-trained here - they went out of their way frequently to assure we were enjoying the area & the hotel. If there was a minor glitch, the bartender was lacking skills compared to most. But when I finally did get a cold beer by the pool, all that faded away & the hot tub ("spa" in hotel-ese) is really soothing. I believe the mngr. is "Laura", not 100% sure, but very diligent and running a tight ship. I noticed her patrolling the halls (e.g. corralling a couple wayward children) on more than one occasion while the parents were blissfully unaware poolside. I would highly recommend this Courtyard for a base while you explore all the parks, and you can save considerably compared to the oft over-priced mouse properties... Who likes little rodents anyway ? This is a great oasis so I'll call it a hidden gem.

Not your typical Courtyard
Small dated room but it was clean. Hallway carpet stained. Elevator closest to our room was not working. Our room was on the third floor overlooking the dumpsters and loading dock (Gold Elite gets you a lot). My husband is not able to climb stairs so we had a long walk to the lobby. Cleaning staff were in the hallway around 8am. It was difficult to drag our luggage around their cleaning carts as we hiked back to the lobby to check out. The good think about this hotel is that it is very close to Epoct and Downtown Disney.
