Very good location...close to attractions...friendly staff...gud room and bathroom. Great for the price. Stayed for 2 days. The breakfast place was a little dark for an early morning breakfast...but we found plenty of options outside.

I believe that all those International Drive 2* hotels must be similar. I stayed at the next door Metropolitan Express and also at the Travelodge 3 blocks down. The location of those hotels is very interesting: it's possible to come and go to the airport by bus, if you want is also possible to walk to/from Universal and Premium Outlets. It's a short bus drive from both Orlando Outlets and Florida Mall as well. Also at walking distance you have Walgreen's, Denny's, Friday's, Chilli's and several other places to eat. The nearby joint to this hotel is also pretty nice, with a good deal for breakfast and usually a steak deal for dinner. The room was nice sized and quiet, looking clean. Of course you cannot expect much of bathroom amenities/towel quality, but as I said, there is a Walgreen's nearby. The pool is a nice touch to relax after a long shopping day and the complimentary shuttle can be useful if you are not with a car. Wet n' Wild is literally across the street.

My girlfriend and I stayed here during a weekend getaway to Orlando. We booked it solely based on the price ($45 a night when you're looking to just go away for a few days is sweet). After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, I figured it would be good enough to crash at night and not get bedbugs.Now let me start off by saying I go to Orlando at least once every couple of months, so I'm used to booking cheaper hotels and being okay when it's not 5 star quality. I am well aware that you get what you pay for so by no means was I expecting the Hilton. However, I will say that this hotel is EXTREMELY old and outdated, and definitely gives off the vibe of poor management (which naturally makes you question how clean your sheets and room really are).Our room was definitely small and beat up. The corners of the carpet that met the wall were torn and stained, the walls were scuffed, and we found hair in the room and bathroom. Ice machines were "out of order" (notice I said machines as in more than one) and the upkeep just seemed to be lacking. I completely understand that this place was probably around when the attractions first popped up in Orlando, but when things are out of order and dirty, it tells me management doesn't care. If management doesn't care, then neither will the staff who is in charge of taking care of your room.On the plus side, the location is unbeatable if you're going to Universal (literally across the parkway), and the staff at the front desk was pleasant for check in and check out. Just understand that if you are booking this hotel because of the price, then be ready to overlook a lot. It's a place to stay without catching some sort of disease, but you can't help but think about the things you might not be able to see.

We booked on Expedia when we got there they put us in a room with 2 double beds, everything in the room was dirty, it smelled like mold (which I'm sure they were aware of since they had an air purifier running in there) and various things around the room were broken. We couldn't stay here, so we were in the room long enough to book a hotel elsewhere and left. I've been fighting with Expedia since to try and get a refund with no such luck, don't use their site and safe yourself from a bad experience and don't stay at this hotel!

Okay, by giving this hotel five stars, I'm not saying it's a five star resort because it's not. I gave it five stars because it is at the top end of the low budget hotels and it does exactly what you need it to do.This hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are great. Lets face it, when holidaying in Florida all you need is a place to sleep as you're out most of the time. This hotel is great as a base. The rooms are a good size and are cleaned everyday. Fresh towels are always provided and the one time we were missing a towel, a call to reception got us one within five minutes. The housekeeping staff left us a new soap and shampoo everyday and we laughed at the collection we had by the end of our stay as we never used their toiletries having brought our own. I found the beds a little uncomfortable but I got enough sleep each night so they can't have been that bad. A big plus to the rooms were the large TV, the coffee making facilities and especially the fridge. We were able to keep water chilled and have stuff ready for making sandwiches so we didn't always have to buy lunch out which really helped our budget. (On a side note, Seaworld and Aquatica DO NOT let you take sandwiches into their parks because they are money grabbing tyrants but that's a different review...)The pool area was clean though the sun loungers were uncomfortable. Also, it has been claimed that the pool is heated but it was absolutely freezing when we tried it. We only tried it the once though so it may had been a one off.The absolutely best thing about this hotel is it's location. It is on stop #9 of the I-Ride trolley and directly opposite Wet and Wild. There is a Walgreens next door which is good for everything from groceries to suncream and Universal Studios is just around the corner. We walked there in about 25 minutes and it's really easy to get to. Next door is the Black Angus restaurant which does an all you can eat breakfast for less that $4! The I-Ride trolley goes up and down International Drive and passes are $18 for two weeks or $1.50 per ride. Passes are available from the hotel. The hotel also advertises a free shuttle to the parks but the service is not run by the hotel itself. Instead, it's an independent service that does most of the International Drive hotels and as such it can be overcrowded. I called it the "Bundle Bus" because people would bundle on it, particularly coming out of the parks. We were always over an hour early for the returning bus but everyone would crowd on (no one would queue) and most of the time we didn't even get a seat. Sometimes, we barely got on it! We would use it in the mornings to get to Disney property but of an evening we'd get a taxi back. It was expensive but it just wasn't worth the hassle of the "Bundle Bus". For Universal, we always walked. However, the bus was reliable and generally showed up on time. If you do use it, the 7.25am bus is the quieter in the morning and the 9pm bus may mean you at least get a seat.All in all, this hotel was brilliant for what we wanted. It gave us transport (not comfortable but transport) to the parks and a clean place to sleep. If you're on a budget I would definately recommend it!
