A peaceful hotel in Majorca
My wife and I spent five days in this hotel in late May 2013. It has a pleasant and peaceful location among olive groves at the foot of pine clad mountains. It is set back about 20 minutes from the motorway, reached via the narrow streets of Campanet. ( Make sure that you hire a small car !) As a converted manor it is quite different from a modern hotel. We had a very comfortable en suite bedroom with a pleasant view over the olive groves to the mountains in the distance. (It is important to book a room in the main building if available). We dined in as the nearest equivalent restaurant would have been about half an hour away in Pollenca. The service was efficient and pleasant and the food good, if occasionally slightly exotic. The staff had adequate English although most of their guests were German. We would strongly recommend it for a quiet few days.

Its OK
Look it depends what your looking for out a trip. If cycling and walking are what your into then a great place to locate yourself.Room was lovely,food ok and the pool is fine. The prices are set at boutique price but lets make this clear it ain't boutique. Pool bar was closed for the duration of our trip. Some of the waiters need to learn that a smile is free and your welcome goes a long way. The girl asking if people wanted drinks/food around the pool was lovely to deal with.

Not a luxury spa hotel
We booked the Monnaber Nou based on the great reviews it received here on Tripadvisor and on their own homepage, where they market it as a luxury spa hotel. Due to this praise we were happy to pay a premium for the luxury service.However, after arriving there we found out that the hotel clearly does not live up to its luxury destination - the rooms are spacious, but the furniture is very old and worn, the bathroom had hairs on the floor and the rooms are very dark due to the old and small windows. The breakfast was very disappointing - the selection was very limited (all breads were hard, so that you could have used it as a hammer, the selection of meat consisted of three different varieties and the warm food was scrambled eggs, bacon and one other option). Last but not least the reception personnel was not overly friendly or eager to help.Don't understand me wrong. The hotel is in a beautiful location albeit away from the sea or any dinner options, is a beautiful old finca itself and has a nice enough pool area. If the price would be 75-100 Euros lower (per night) it would be a good hotel, which I would happily recommend.Considering the current price tag and the luxury category I have to clearly warn you about booking this hotel and would recommend to look for a better option.

charming old fashioned hotel in tranquil location
We stayed here for the ironman 70.3, so had to make sure we had somewhere to store a bike. Hotel was accommodating about that so no problem. Lovely old traditional buildings with pretty and eccentric furnishings. We were in the annexe building about a quarter mile from the main hotel, where the rooms were spacious and clean, with a balcony overlooking a lovely water reservoir and windmill, but furnishings rather dated and a little tatty. The beds were the main disappointment with a peculiar plastic incontinence cover beneath the sheets, which was so unpleasant we removed it.Apart from that it was lovely. Beautiful fields and farmland surrounds both main building and annexe, and the sound of wild fowl and peacocks echo around the grounds.Out of season meant no pool down at the annexe and no pool bar service up at main hotel. Swam in the freezing pool but still enjoyed it. We had lunch and it was well cooked, locally sourced and tasty, if slightly overpriced. Waiting staff not terrific as we were really thirsty and had to wait about twenty minutes after sitting down before we even got a glass of water. But they were pleasant enough when we got their attention.All said, it's a gorgeous and peaceful place, unpretentious if slightly down at heel, where the staff are a little thin on the ground. Annexe feels like a hostel rather than a hotel and you'd certainly never come if you were expecting luxury.It's a nature lover's hotel where the absence of any staff intrusion makes it doubly peaceful. Worked very well for us because of location and the unfussy casual nature of the atmosphere.

Very nice place, very poor service in the restaurant, very bad Internet.
This could be Mallorca's best place, everything is as organic as it could get, the problem is with the managing it...very poor quality of service in the restaurant, very tired staff! BEAUTIFUL PLACE APART FROM THAT, will definitely go back to see the improvement!
