On arrival we went to reception and were given our all inclusive wristbands and key and given our room number. The man on reception was very nice and we were given leaflets about the hotel and times for eating and drinking. Our room was a one bedroom apartment with basic kitchen facilities although basic and in need of a re vamp it was very spacious and adequate for what we required. We went straight down to the bar area for a drink my friend asked for lager and lime to be told lime wasn't on the all inc so she had wine instead which was a fizzy wine and not very nice. We went from there to the very small restaurant where we could help ourself to beer and more fizzy red or white wine. The restaurant itself is very small and the variety of food isn't very good very repetitive but like most all inc there was always something to eat. A fish and a meat always chips and some salads. The the best of meals had during our stay but we didn't starve. From there we went to find the entertainment which was also basic but plenty of seating whilst there we had a reptile show, karaoke and a quiz. You cannot get spirits on all inc until 8pm, there is also only 1 cocktail on every evening. From there at midnight we headed to Dalys Irish bar where you can smoke drinks are reasonable and the in house band was great after the band the DJ plays music quite late. We headed to find the beach the following day up a small steep hill but only a 10 min walk and you are on "the strip" with plenty of bars and restaurants the beach is beautiful and bars on the beach very cheap 1.70 for a wine and 2.50 for a beer. The nightlife also very good with plenty of late night bars and clubs. The pool area is great with a large pool and slide although the water was very cold it kept us cool as the weather was amazing. The snack bar and seating area around pool is great and you can get burgers, hotdogs, chips and if you ask they will make you up a sandwich. The sun loungers and parasols are 1 euro each but a friendly guy gives you the lounger and places it wherever you want to be seated. No need to get up early to put your towels down!!! We stayed for 3 nights and all in all a great holiday we met some fantastic people, having said that the hotel could do with a full re vamp and modernising and a lick of paint all over and some of the staff can be rude at times it was great value for what we paid and would return on another girls holiday but wouldn't take my children.

Just an echo of most comments on here - what do you expect for he money. The hotel cost around ¿¿20 a day for family of four - for that money it offers good value. Beer was good, wine ok, cocktails ok. Food was typical of all inc holidays - even if you didn't enjoy it the was sandwiches and burgers/hotdogs all day. Pool was ok, daughter enjoyed it. Hotel is ideal for getting into town, beach just down he road. Yeah, it's no 5 star, but staff friendly and generally it's clean-ish It could do with more kids entertainment, but that's he only thing that let it down really. It's a very British hotel, whether that's a good or bad thing I'll let you decide.

After reading the review's I was a bit worried, we are both in our 50`s .we found our apartment very clean linen and towels were nice and clean, staff very friendly and helpful, food was fine a good selection of fresh salad ,pasta,not much in the way of potato, but plenty of pasta and fries to make up, good breakfast selection.The only thing we found that because it is very close to the small town when the bars close at 12, the younger people went out to the night clubs, and then chose to come back about 3.30am very drunk and noisy ,that was our only complaint.We paid very little to stay here so feel it was very good for the money

we just stayed in the clube praia da rocha . hotel is as what you would expect for a 3* all /inc . we loved it as it was quiet . and the staff was great if you need any assistance ...ie more pillows .help and advice as of where to go and what to do . i agree that the rooms do look dated and in need of a lick of paint .. apart from that the hotel was great for the kids as there do things on a nite ..ie clown show .parrot show and an reptile show . these start at about half 9 so if you can get in the video bar early as seats go fast . food ... the breakfast is poor ..ie when we where there it was cold beans .scrambled egg which was green in colour .hotdog sausages. if you want a good english breaky go to irelands eye on the corner of the strip . 7euro a go you get a big breakfast.toast.tea or coffee.and a glass of pure orange . the snacks in the hotel are burgers .hotdogs .chips . you can help yourself to soft drinks .tea.coffee.and beers or wine . drinks are served from 9 till middnite . the other food in the hotel was nice as you get a .meat.chicken.or fish. meal to choose from . with veg or salad . you do after pay 1euro for sun beds . so ppl don't put towles on them and then go out . the only thing we would ask is that more entertainment in the day time . as you get 2 games to choose from . there is a mini market on site . all the games in the games room you do have to pay for as 3euro for 1 hour or 5euro for 3 hours .this is seprate from the hotel as this is a private company. over all this is a nice place to go to as the beach is great and just been voted 5th best in europe . we are planning to go back in nov . .. if you are like us. easy going .. the you'll love your time here . if you want 5* and only want to pay 3* prices then stay away and don't put cheap comments on here go to the jupiter.or the casino hotel which are 4-5* hotels .

We were the same as some people there when talking to them a little apprehensive at first but after the first day we started to feel at ease .we drove into the carpark as we hired a car at the airport and looked at the place and it didn't look good quiet shabby looking in need of a coat of paint .we went to reception and booked in all straight forwards nice pleasant staff went to the lift there's 4 and you didn't have to wait long for them all the time we were there very reliable got to our room on 4th floor over lookin the pool its surounded by tall buildings which keeps the pool quiet sheltered the room was 1 of the largest we have stayed in we had heard they we large but they did suprise us a bit old fashioned and in need of an upgrade but adequate and not dirty it was a clean place right through the hotel just looked shabby on outside.the meals were reasonable we'll cooked lovely thick soups good food just not a lot of choice but there was something for most meales for us, we did eat out but that was when we had days out.and the bonus was the weather was brilliant overall for the price we paid and for the time of the year we had a really good holiday we picked a card up at reception and will definitely be going again
