We've been just for 1 night and we've got a very nice and large room with 2 TV :). Food - Rich breakfast. In the morning there was a free shuttle service from hotel to ciampino airport at 8:00, it was convenient for us.

Pros and Cons
Well, we got it for a good price for Rome! And the room was clean and had a fridge. Shower was 'compact', but hot. Gym a bonus. Free shuttle back to the airport. But - walls very thin, no tea/ coffee making facilities were available, so couldn't get a cup of tea until 5 when the bar opened! Breakfast buffet was fine, but lack of restaurant facility in the evening is a real downside, given there's not much in the area. Garden at the back of the hotel, but no seats!

Good hotel, but not 'quality'
Hotel room was nice and spacious, but the walls are paper thin so it sounds like the people staying next to you are in your hotel room. The hotels near to a main road and there are constantly planes flying over, as it's near an air port too, so not the best of locations. Great breakfast and gym, but a couple of the staff members weren't that helpful when asking them for advice

Excelent choice!
If you are with a car or a tourist group with a bus I would definitely suggest this hotel: big, clean and modern rooms, rich breakfast, free WIFI. Very clean weather and friendly hotel staff. Free airport shuttle to Ciampino Airport (8:00-12:00/3 times in the morning - seats need to be reserved).

Hotel Excel Ciampino
Wonderful place to stay. Clean, heated towel racks and much bigger than your regular European hotel accomodations. Food was good but there was a little bit of a language barrier at the front desk but nothing you wouldn't overcome easily enough.
