Nice stay
Stayed in the hotel for 4 nights and found everything to be a of an excellent standard, although the last 2 nights were quite noisy inside the hotel as children were running around the corridors until midnight, notwithstanding this our stay was very good. The reception proved a test to find on our first night as we arrived at around 9.30pm in the dark and only after walking round the whole hotel looking for it realised it was in a separate building along with the restaurant. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was excellent, cooking your own eggs was a good idea and worth it even if there was a queue at times. The rooms were of a good size as was the bathroom. We would have liked tea and coffee in the rooms but this is a minor issue. All in all excellent.

Gem of a hotel with great staff and restaurant
Stayed here for 4 nights with our baby daughter and were really impressed with the quality of the rooms and upkeep of the place, together with a super location for the beach (one block away), nice pool area and a Michelin recommended restaurant. S'agaro is a quiet place but the beach is immaculate, nice walks around can be had and in general a lovely place for a very relaxing time. This hotel and its staff are to be highly commended for their care and attention - deserving of more than 3 stars

Excellent hotel
The hotel is in an excellent location. S'Agaro is so beautiful with lovely walks along the coast. We stayed here is February for 2 nights - myself, husband and 7 year old son. The rooms were large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean. Lovely jacuzzi bath and seperate shower. The safe is free to use and there is plenty of hanging space in the wardrobes. I accidentally put in the wrong number in the safe a few times which resulted in us being unable to use it. Went to reception and the lady came over immediately and sorted out the problem. Very helpful and excellent service. We only stayed b & b. The breakfast was very good and fresh. Cooking your own eggs and bacon was good. Would highly recommend this hotel. Excellent value.

Lovely Hotel!!!
Stayed 2 nights, had a free upgrade to a Junior Suite with jacuzzi!! Bed was so comfortable, wanted to bring it home - pure luxury!! Hotel spotless. Very good breakfast. A few bars and restaurants down the road. Beautiful scenary, we drove to Tossa De Mar, you do need a car if you want to get out and about. not a lot to do in the area. Ok we got a good deal as it was the low season, but all in all, a really lovely stay, would definately recommend. Girona Airport taxi costs 50E each way, so much cheaper to hire a car. Beware though, we went to top up the tank on way to airport and it was closed!!!! So no doubt we shall be charged premium rates for the petrol to top up our hire car. Enjoy!

A Pleasant Oasis of Dutch Hospitality
The Barcarola is situated a few streets from the beach in the pleasant resort of S'Agaro. It's only a minute's walk from the beach, and numerous restaurants along the seafront. There is a very nice pool with an upper area overlooking the pool and sea, which was always very quiet and had lots of free loungers. The breakfast buffet was large, and gave you the ability to prove your egg cooking skills (or otherwise!) on a strange flat egg frying device. We drove to the hotel from Barcelona airport (90 mins), and there is a large, free car park behind the hotel. The hotel's restaurant is very good, probably the best option in town, albeit slightly overpriced ¿¿¿ especially the starters, which were very expensive. The staff were all very friendly, and spoke good English, despite mostly being Dutch (as the vast majority of the guests are Dutch). The town itself is very quiet; no noisy Brits or nightclubs and popular with the locals. All in all, the Barcarola is an excellent place to relax on the coast, and well located for trips on coast and inland if you have a car.
