Too far from the airport.
I would not recommend this Hotel as a place to stay to be near Barcelona airport. The Hotel was very reasonably priced but the cost of taxis to and from the arport made it expensive. It stated that the Hotel was 5 kms from the airport - that may be true for Terminal 2 but it is at least 9 kms ay from Terminal 1 and the taxis are very costly - add at least another 50 euros on top of the cost of the hotel. I arrived on a Sunday night from Mallorca and could not get even a cup of tea at the Hotel! No tea or coffee in the room, nothing. In the end had to phone out to have a pizza brought in! I had an early flight on the following day and would have really appreciated being able to make myself a tea or a coffee.The Hotel was not easy to find either and there were road works going on and so I had to walk with my case for about 100 metres - not far but an added irritation.The Hotel room was very clean and comfortable and the girl on reception friendly and helpful. Excellent price if you have your own car.

This hotel would only be recommended if you plan to visit the small towns outside Barcelona & not for sight-seeing in Barcelona, as it is too far away.Hotel rooms are modern by the look of it but lack many things. For e.g. they don¿¿¿t even have cupboards but just 2 open cabinets on either side of the beds with a rod in the centre for the hangers. Television set is very old and outdated.No refrigerator in the room nor water bottles provided but a vending machine on lobby level to buy water etc. . . . No iron & ironing table services provided. Seems that service is forgotten by the hotel completely. Beds are a bit hard , the beds slide very easily with the smallest movement in bed Rooms are small and not really what you can call comfortable in terms of size. Bathroom is nice with good toileteriesBreakfast I feel is too expensive for the price. 12 euro odd for buffet breakfast is too much for the menu offered. NO shuttle service to the airport. Taxis will cost anything between 20-25 euros depending on your luggage ( as they charge you 1europer bag). If you have to take a local bus to the airport you need to change 2 buses. going to Barcelona city centre by taxi about 20 euros one way , there are buses which go as well during the day and at night. But the night bus takes over 1 hr to get to the hotel from plaza catalunya which is generally a 30 mins bus ride during the day .the hotel bar is shut on weekends so if you want to eat, there is a mcdonalds and a ¿¿¿diversus¿¿¿ restraunt 10 mins walk from the hotel .I would not recommend unless you get a throw away deal

Good value
This hotel is quite difficult to find. Google maps are inadequate. Street signs are not posted or they are very small and quite high on the building. Asking locals for direction is the only way to get there. Hotel is located in the working class/industrial area about 15euro ride from the airport but it will cost you 25euro because that's the min. charge set by the taxi driver's union. It takes 20min.drive by taxi from hotel to airport. At the hotel there are 3 bus lines that go to the center of Barcelona. From there you can take the Metro almost anywhere in the city. Don't even think of driving to Barcelona, the parking is non-existant & very costly. Hotel is quite modern,rooms are spacious & comfy. There is a buffet breakfast & bar/cafeteria, but we made use of local restaurants. For breakfast you can go to McDonalds, just 10min.walk. For dinner try restaurant Diversus, 15 min. walk. Cable TV at the hotel has 4 English language channels which is a Plus.

Best for the money. Car needed
If You rent a car. This is an excellent place. Close to the El Prat airport (10 minutes) and to the car rental companies.It's about 30-45 minutes to downtown Barcelona, by highway. It's OkNew hotel.Excellent service.Spacious and nice rooms.Strongly recommend if on business trip or vacations.

Good modern hotel
Excellent value for the price we paid. The location for us was excellent as we had a car. Our room was very clean, modern and of a good size. The breakfast was quite good with enough choice, only a pity that the breakfast could only start as from 8am and that the bar was closed in the weekend! Service could be better as not everybody of the hotel staff was equally friendly.
