Excellent Value
I have used the Britannia on several occasions and consider it excellent value. The proximity to the Airport is a big advantage and the rooms are clean and comfortable with all the facilities needed for a short stay. The Staff are friendly and helpful. I have had Breakfast and Dinner there and again consider the meals to be good. If Breakfast is booked at Reception you only pay in the region of ¿¿5-excellent. It is not a Luxury Hotel, but for a pre-flight stay I can highly recommend it.

Worst hotel I've stayed in.
My partner and I stayed here the night before a flight and it wasn't good at all. Meal was like school dinners! Not tasty at all. Like a carvery type thing. The waitress snatched our paperwork from my hand, and grunted at us when we asked for a table. wine was awful and had cork floating in it. Ended up having a take out sandwich from the petrol station beside the hotel. Room was clean enough but a little dated and so hot!! Heating was full blast in summer!! Couldn't be turned down. I would never stay here again.

It's CHEAP!!!
We stayed here the night before a early morning flight. It is cheap but it needs to be. The rooms are very small and very run down, the furniture in the bar is completely worn out. The food is like school dinners used to be like, we had a mixed meat curry that was the worst curry I have ever had it appeared to be made of leftover meat from the roast joints and simply covered in curry powder!!! I don't think we will be staying there again I will pay a little more to stay else where in September when we have an early flight again.

Another great night
Back from another family get together on a Sunday night, package included 3 course evening meal, bed and breakfast with a bottle of wine per room. Rooms were allocated on same floor close together as requested. Check in /out went very smoothly and all staff were very pleasant and friendly. The hotel is clean and tidy and adequate for what we required. Plenty of tea/coffee etc available on room tray and extra available from reception if required. We all enjoyed our evening meal with a good selection of starters, main courses and several deserts to choose from all cooked freshly to order. The bar closed at 11:00 and the bar staff asked us if we would like extra drinks before they closed. We were allowed to stay in bar until we were finished our drinks despite there only being us. The bar has a happy hour from 4pm ¿¿¿ 7pm when drinks are ¿¿2.00 including some pints, wine and some shorts. Parking was not a problem. Some reviews mention the television, yes they are the old type but they work and we don¿¿¿t go to watch television. Also the rooms were very warm but this was easily solved by opening the window. We will definitely be returning as we enjoy it so much.

Price is right.
Having stayed in this hotel for approx 30 yrs for flying out to malaga it has greatly improved mr Routledge the deputy general manger in my eyes has improved staff moral 100 percent and the restaurant is greatly improved bedrooms redecorated the only thing I would add is new telivisions in the rooms overall another nice stay and so handy for the airport .
