My short (2 nights) stay was excellent, from the courteous,efficient check-in to having the taxi come to the rear door (shorter walk) when I left, as I had several bags. The breakfasts and one dinner I ate in the dining room were fine as well. It was great that I could get a massage in the hotel because my back had unexpectedly started aching. Since I had a brief stay, it was so convenient to be right in the city center, near many museums, cafes, etc. and a short drive to the train station.

At Palatinus, we enjoyed a nice and spacy room, everything was perfectly clean.The Hotel is perfectly located amidst the old town cloe to everything.This line is just to reach the necessary limit of digits.

Hotel Palatinus, Pecs Hungary
We arrived in Pecs by motorcycle with no reservations. I looked up hotels on my GPS near the center and the GPS directed us into the pedestrian zone in the center of Pecs. We must be close! We took a side street and found the hotel parking entrance at the back of the hotel. Perfect! Secure parking for our bike. My wife went to the front desk in her biker attire and was greeted in a friendly manner. She was suprised to find there were two rates - one for room with no air conditioning and a slightly higher rate for A/C. Being late July she opted for A/C. The rate was very reasonable, especially considering the location. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit Spartan. The hotel restaurant was excellent for both breakfast and dinner. The hotel is only a few minutes walk to the beautiful central square.

Good location; Helpful staff
We chose this hotel because of its central location in the older town of Pecs. Although in an all- pedestrian area, the taxi driver took us from the bus station to the back entrance of the hotel, which helped because of my husband's recent knee surgery. The restaurant and lobby of the hotel are elegant spaces. My most poignant memory was of the helpfulness of the receptionist, Zoltan Kerdo, when I ran into language problems arranging my bus connection into Serbia. Breakfast was very good; the room comfortable.

Terrific location
This place is so central, most things are just a walk away. It's clean, but in somewhat Hungarian fashion, lacking. The check in clerk was lacking in manners. The bathroom was lacking soap. Helpful advice was lacking. Room was clean and fine, albeit small. Breakfast was terrific, and included in the cost of the room.
