The location of the hotel is excellent with easy access to all areas of Tarragona. The views were also exceptional from the room that we had and from our room you could see both the Sea and the Old Town. The hotel was clean and some of the staff were also very helpful.Negatives of staying in this hotel:1. Some of the staff were very unhelpful and appeared to be put out when we asked them questions. 2. The AC didn't work3. The Tennis court was in poor condition and there was no net- it was more like an area where various things had been dumped. Some of the gym equipment was broken and finding it was impossible. I had to ask 4 times where it actually was; it is located in a function /meeting room.4. WIFI was 9 euros a day and I was to told you also had to pay to use the computers in the reception.5. There is quite a bit of noise as it is located near a busy road.6. No concierge and staff didn't know basic information e.g. transport links to Reus airport

The best thing about this hotel is a superb location overlooking the Roman Amphitheatre of Tarragona. The rooms were comfortable enough but a little dated, some TLC on the room facilities wouldn't go amiss, cracked tiles in the bathroom, grubby grouting and a slightly damaged toilet seat. all of which should have been fixed. This seemed a general trend for the hotel.There weren't many people staying and with such a big hotel it seemed a little dead and soulless.Staff were polite and helpful when asked.

We stayed in room 311 on June 12th, 2013. We have to say we are deeply disappointed:Negatives:* Room had broken AC! It was around 30 degrees C in the room. We were told that we could not change rooms.* No refrigerator in the room and no ice bucket or ice machine.* Floor was uneven and felt like there was broken material underneath the worn carpet.* Parking is 27 euros per day, regardless of whether you are a guest or not. No in-out privileges.* Wifi is 5 euro a day if you ask at the front counter for the code; 9 euro a day if you login without asking. A 100mb per session limit.* Front desk staff are unfriendly. There is no doorman to help you with your bags and no luggage carts to bring them up to your room.The Pros were a nice balcony with a view of the ocean, which we used because it was cooler outside than inside because of the broken AC. The bathroom was also very nice. The location was also central.The one thing I'd ask from a hotel is for it to be clean, safe, and habitable. This hotel barely makes two of the three.

Perfect Location, Great Service (we arrived late and Daniel pointed out a great Plaza to eat out), Excellent Car Parking. With views of the Tarragona beach, amphitheater (Pictures attached) and circus as well as a short walk from the bars, restaurants and sites of the old town. This hotel is situated on the old rambla, but only a 2 minute walk from the new rambla with its shops, coffee houses and a pedestrian thoroughfare. The choo-choo Tarraco city tour train also has a stop right outside (Only 7euros hop on/off per day). I read reviews of the wifi service, but I was there to tour and holiday and NOT be on the internet and facebook! Breakfast was excellent with continental and English served (Bacon and Scrambled Eggs). As much as you could eat and as much coffee as you could drink. If staying in Tarragona again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

We got an excellent deal at this hotel, for a three night stay and we were impressed. Our third floor room was spacious, and there was ample storage space for our stay, though we may have struggled if we were staying longer and had more to unpack. Our room had clearly recently been redecorated and we liked the decor that reflected the cities Roman heritage: if you tour the Cathedral's museum you'll see the mosaic floors that inspired the designer. The sheets were clean and crisp, the towels white and the curtains new. Our bathroom had a shower over the bath which was powerful enough, and a toilet that was so snugly fitted into an alcove that it made us glad we had recently shed a few pounds.We're really pleased that we read the previous posting by pwill290 alerting us to car parking issues. At check-in we remarked to the receptionist that the 27 euro fee advertised on the machine was excessive and we would move our car elsewhere. She straightaway took our ticket from us and told us to pay her 17 euros a day on departure. This we duely did, and were given a fresh ticket to depart. It was straightforward and worked well. I think that raising the parking cost issue on arrival was the right thing to do.At 14 euros the hotel breakfast cost far too much for us to afford, and we ate around the corner for 2 euros. The swimming pool area was a pleasant place to spend an hour on a warm afternoon, though it was overlooked by neighbouring flats and was poorly signposted inside the hotel. Our overall impression was of a well run hotel in an excellent central position, providing good value for money.
