By Chicago standards (and by the standards of this chain) we found this to be surprisingly affordable for a 3 night stay. It's a very modern, clean hotel which includes all the amenities - small microwave and fridge in the room, which was very spacious. Beds were comfortable, although I have to say that the couch wasn't especially comfortable, and we had a hard time converting it to a pull out bed for our daughter. The TV was confusing to operate at first. We had the misfortune of being on the same floor with some sort of group of young people, so there was a bit of noise and a couple of times kids knocked on our door (I think they mistook our room for one of their friends.) We also had the misfortune of being there during what the front desk told us is a problem the chain has been having with someone hacking their internal phone systems and trying to get debit or credit card information by saying that there's a problem with the bill - we had one such call at 4 am! Neither of those issues are the hotel's fault, but they were a part of our experience. There's a Ruby Tuesday right next door. It's not part of the hotel, but it does do room service for them. They have a hot breakfast buffet which was kind of middlin' to be honest. There's all the regular stuff you'd find at a complimentary hotel continental breakfast. Nothing special. The "hot" stuff that was added varies from day to day. There was sliced maple sausage and turkey sausage links which were both very good. They need to work on eggs. Scrambled eggs were very dry, and a cheese omelette basically looked like a plain omelette folded in half with a slice of melted processed cheddar between. The third morning we were treated to a not entirely delicious (!) "bagel topper." There didn't seem to be a hole in it, so I'm not convinced it was a bagel, and it had some strange combination of melted cheese and other unidentifiable "stuff" on top of it. Not especially palatable and very bland. The "robust" coffee is quite good, and there's complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate available at all hours. There's also complimentary wi-fi, but it was both slow and unreliable in our room, regularly fading in and out. They do have a very nice pool that our 9 year old daughter absolutely loved, along with a sauna and hot tub. There's a couple of shopping malls nearby, and the hotel provides a shuttle to take you anywhere within 3 miles and pick you up. That's close enough to get to the nearest Yellow Line station if you want to head downtown.

As we all are so attached and dependent on our electrical devices, nothing is so frustrating that finally getting to your hotel room and you cannot find eneough electrical outlets to finish off the day and charge up for tomorrow. This property certainly has the business traveler in mind as not only are there enough outlets but the server is big enougth to quickly sign on and stay on regarding wifi.I should also add that despite being close to the interstate and that convenience, outside noise was a non issue.By the way, bed was confortable, room clean, especially the bathroom, and interior funishings up to date.

My wife and I have begun regular travel to Evanston. Our choice for a hotel is this Hampton in Skokie. The property is well appointed, clean, well maintained, and frankly exceeds expectations. The thing that takes this Hampton over the top is the staff. The folks here are fabulous. They are remarkably friendly, helpful and knowledgable. You have many choices of hotels to stay in, and most are similar in quality (when of comparable price). The difference is often the people, and these folks are top notch.This locations is convenient, in a great area that is safe and clean. We love it!

Rooms were spacious, clean and updated, and the staff was very friendly. What I appreciated most was that the weekday breakfast was offered longer than other hotels that I've stayed at (it went until 10 a.m., I believe) and had a lot of great options if you're looking for something healthier. Very convenient to Old Orchard Mall nice to have a Ruby Tuesday's attached. The main downside was that our room was very noisy; I'm not sure if it was a loud air conditioning unit or something else, but it was unusually loud. We were offered a different room but we since we had already unpacked and settled in, we decided to just go with earplugs. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

We have stayed at this hotel three times in the last year. We book when we are in Chicago to see our son. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful! The hotel is attractive. The rooms are nicely decorated and always very clean! The beds are wonderful! Lots of great shopping and dining nearby. Easy drive into Chicago.
