Now an average stay
I stayed here about 2 years ago and felt it was a great stay with great rooms. My most recent stay the room was average. paid for an upgrade and received a better view perhaps, but the room was comparatively small. Room was clean and hotel is in a great location in downtown San Francisco.

Great Stay with one hiccup.

Staff is top notch
We stayed here for our honeymoon for two nights. Quiet, good location for Union Square, within walking or transportation to anywhere you'd want to go. Our room was a very nice view room on a corner, which was great. It was huge. Beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of room to spread out. My only disappointment is that we left some items in the room. While this was totally our fault, we called the same day we checked out. We were told it would take a few days to find the items (not sure why), so we couldn't come back and get them as we were leaving after our next leg in Napa. So, I filled out the lost item form - got no response the first time (which was submitted immediately after we called). I submitted it once again when I got home and got an immediate response that my items were found, and to ship them home would be $17.Again, my fault for leaving them, but I could have picked them up on our way back to the airport. And I hardly think it costs $17 to ship two bikinis and a pair of underwear. Other than that, I do need to point out that the staff you encounter, from the front desk to the housekeeping, is FABULOUS. Could not have been friendlier or more gracious. A super clean facility as well. We enjoyed it.
