Only stay here if you are quite easy-going about travelling into Barcelona since travelling to Barcelona city via public transport can be a bit chaotic/slow. I saw some reviews that said the journey takes 45 mins but for us it was at least an hour (and three hours on one occasion when it all went a bit wrong after too much sangria!!). It is worth the hassle though as we were relieved to head "home" to the sanctuary of the hotel after a busy day/evening in Barca and once we had mastered the public transport we felt more involved with the locals and like we were not mere tourists on the tourist bus!For those interested, I will write the public transport directions at the end of this review but to get back on topic about the hotel - it was clean, very good and varying choice at breakfast, large rooms with additional kitchenette. Room service was only ¿¿¿2.50 with a good menu (we had a 2 course meal with drinks as room service after a heavy day walking around Barca and it came to only ¿¿¿21 for two adults!). Staff were very helpful and friendly, even though most of them apart from the Reception couldn't speak English (and we lacked Catalan and Spanish) we managed to get by nicely and they really tried to help us with everything we asked. Overall a great value hotel!Directions we found after asking Reception (who provided us with a map but we couldn't make head nor tail of it!) and trial and error are:1) walk directly out of the hotel on the same side of the road there is a bus stop, wait here for the number 9 bus (which comes from the left remember UK people! Don't look like idiots watching to the right like we did ;) ). We got this bus 4 times and found it always took at least 10 mins to come but no longer than 30 minutes (although the hotel tell you it is every 7 mins...). The first time you need to pay about a euro or two each to get on the bus and ask for "Espanya" stop2) Stay on the bus for approx. 8 stops.. when you see "sant Bernard" yours is the next one so start getting up/press the buzzer after this stop. You should disembark at "Espanya" then walk to the right (presuming you are exiting the bus), across the pedestrian crossing and go to that big glass building in the middle of the roundabout. This should take you about 2 mins, even at a slow pace as it is very close.This is "Sabadell Nord" train station.3) Go downstairs and to the ticket machine , buy a "T-10" ticket for "2 zones/zona". This can be used by multiple people for multiple journeys on train, tram and bus so as long as there are 5 or less of you, you can get there and back (or two of you can use it 5 times each). At time of writing (May 2013) this cost ¿¿¿19.40.4) go through the barrier one at a time by putting your ticket into the machine and handing it behind you to your friend so they can do the same once you are through.5) go down the stairs to your right, get the Renfe train to "Catalunya" station. This is a transport hub in Barcelona city where you can either switch to a tram for wherever you're going or exit ("sortida" signs are "exit") out and upstairs into the sunshine and the main square.6) Coming back - be careful not to be clever and get the tram to "Placa Espanya", thinking you are taking a short cut... it's a different place to the "Espanya" bus stop that you travelled via earlier so you need to get a renfe train towards terassa or merassa (if desperate you can take the FBB train but this goes to South or Central Sabadell which is still pretty far from the hotel and you'll need to take a taxi).7) last bus from Espanya is around 10pm, taxis are available though and fairly cheap with a standardised rate (if you take the black/yellow cabs). When you see the Luther King stop start getting up as your is the next stop.Also your ticket is valid for 1.5 hrs so for one stamp on your ticket you can get all the way from the hotel to Catalunya in Barcelona and maybe even a few stops on the tram too if you're lucky. We had a pleasant stay at this hotel; the only complaint is that the room was a bit noisy and the airconditioning was not working due to the season we were in. The personell was very freindly and helpfull.

The hotel was clean and comfortable with a restaurant which provides good food and good value. However, the hotel does not explain how far out of BCN it is. You can get a Renfe train from the centre of town to Sabadelle Nord but then have to catch a bus or taxi to the hotel or walk at least half and hour. The journey on the train takes approximately 35 minutes and the bus approx 10 mins. We would be happy to stay at the hotel again but I think the journey into town would put us off especially if you want to go out in the evening after a hard day sightseeing. BCN is a great city with loads to see/do:)

Really good hotel, clean, beds are soooo comfortable, reception are really helpful and it is in a really nice area, we enjoyed breakfast too and there was lots of variety, we will definitely go back, what a gem!

Very good hotel, Large clean well equipped rooms. As good as a 5 star hotel. Free parking and wifi. Close to Sabedell centre. I would recommend this hotel. Very good value for money. Impress your other halve with this hotel.
