I had spent a lot of time while in between apartments at another hotel in FiDi recently, however when they were sold out one night I was able to book a room at Andaz. Not only was the staff over accommodating from the moment I walked in the lobby, they made the check in effortless. Immediately upon entering the room, which was sleek, simple and tastefully decorated, I sat down to get to work. It was refreshing to not have to pay 14.00 a day in wifi charges, this is included. The bathrooms are absolutely incredible. You could stay in that tub for hours. And the shower, you truly could fit 4-6 people in there. I was still exhausted from work and wanted to find where I could get an iced tea but could not find the mini bar. I went downstairs and the girl at the front desk kindly came up to the room with me to show me around find the snacks and drinks. Amazing. The attention to detail, the service and the rooms all made this the most incredible break I could have in the midst of a chaotic work week and moving. I was so upset they were sold out the next night. When I asked the front desk to keep me in mind for a cancellation, they immediately offered me a 2 pm check out. Blown away. I literally took a photo of the room and shared it to my social networks complimenting the hotel and staff publicly and within half an hour I had countless comments agreeing that the Andaz is their favorite hotel in NYC! If I could live here, I would. I definitely plan on coming back, even though I am a NYC resident, this was an exceptional treat and it was if I was on vacation. I can not recommend this hotel enough!

Stayed for four nights. Ended up in a suite on top floor. Great free wifi and soft drinks, helpful staff in every way, generally great. Good cocktails in the bar too - shame it was closed on Sunday. Location is downtown, but it's only a $10 cab drive to midtown or loads of easy subway options.

I stayed two nights at Andaz Wall Street last week on business. The hotel common areas were very interesting and sleek, as was the room. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I enjoyed this hotel very much.

We stayed for 7 nights in April and were in NY for our daughters wedding. We chose the Andaz based on the reviews and the facilities it offered. Check in was fine and this was probably our best experience in the week from the staff in the lobby area. The room was very dark and the lighting particularly in the bathroom was awful. So bad that the day of the wedding I had to go to the hotel my daughter was staying at, The Standard, to do my make up as I simply couldn't see! My husband even tried to improve matters by unscrewing the light shades in the bathroom in the hope that a bare bulb would be better. It wasn't! Also no mirrors in the room apart from the one in the dark bathroom. The main issue I had was the lack of a gym facility. I found out just before leaving the uk that the gym was closed but was assured by email that I would be able to use the one in the adjoining condo. Great! The first morning I went next door I was informed that only FIVE hotel guests could use the gym and that as all the passes had gone I couldn't go up to the gym. Having waited for 20 mins I was about to give up when a resident of the condo very kindly let me use his pass. I had hoped this was an isolated incident but the same thing happened the next day. By this time I was losing patience. I was offered a pass for the gym a couple of blocks down the street but the whole point of choosing this hotel was that I could pop down for a quick workout in my gym gear without having to walk to even get to the gym. After complaining, we were offered a breakfast which whilst nice, did not sort the problem. I only went once more even though I usually go daily when on holiday as it was so much hassle! The manager just said sorry but basically couldn't really sort the situation. I asked for a pass to the gym but again was told this was not possible. I understand the reason for the closure was hurricane Sandy, but that was in October. If I had known there would have been this problem I would never have stayed there and would have asked to be transferred to the other Andaz on 5th Ave. There were a couple of staff in the lobby who were friendly and helpful but mainly we found them to be very disinterested.

When we arrived at Andaz, we were greeted by a gentleman lingering around a desk with an iPad. He quickly checked us in within minutes and we headed to our room. The room was perfect. Very comfortable with soothing neutrals, but had a sleek and modern vibe as well. The shower- AMAZING. The best part. It could probably fit about 4 people in it with an amazing showerhead directly above. The room was very quiet. You definitely felt a feeling of escape after a crazy day in the city. They also include everything in the bar except alcohol which is a nice plus. Great chocolate..The only cons would be the lighting was a little tough to do makeup in- but who cares really?The location was a little out of the way. We spent most of our time in Nolita..there wasn't too much for us on Wall St. But it was still a great stay and we would definitely return.
