we have stayed at this hotel many times as we enjoy the great location and helpful staff, we were delighted with our recent stay as the hotel has been refurbished, on entering the hotel you will enjoy a really spacious lobby with gorgeous flower arrangements and a huge fishtank, the new decor has an indonesian ' bali' style feel, and is very light and airy. rooms are spacious and clean, and we always enjoy the service from the staff including our favourite bellman, william. you are in a great location here,. in walking distance to all the great eateries and bars, and the hotel even operates a free shuttle to the local malls, great if you want to indulge in a little reatail therapy.

Great Location Within Walking Distance to the Beach
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Crowne Plaza Redondo Beach. The heated swimming pool provides a spectacular view of the ocean. The hotel is also within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and the beach. It is definitely worth the extra cost to book a room on floor 4 or 5 with a partial ocean view. The staff is excellent and very helpful. If you definitely know that you want to stay at this hotel consider purchasing a room with an advance nonrefundable rate for extra savings. A complimentary shuttle is available to transport you to local shopping malls. 24 hour taxi service is also a benefit for early flights out of LAX or other airports nearby.

Very good location, great service, spacious rooms
We spend two nights in Crowne Plaza, booked online, so got a really good deal. Front desk was very helpful, they managed to get us free Wifi even though the hotel charges for it (signed up to some kind of "international club", no fee) and advised us to park around the corner instead of paying $20 for the hotel parking. Not often does the guest's savings come before hotel's profits. Another receptionist the next day was very helpful getting us directions to the WB studios to avoid traffic.We got a spacious room, with a balcony with an ocean view. Service was really fast (called for more glasses, got them in less than 10 min). The hotel is located in a nice residential area, so no hobos or junkies, very safe and pleasant area for LA. There's The Cheesecake Factory right across the street, if you want to grab a quick bite. All in all very pleasant stay worth every penny.

Great Base in Nice Area
Spent three nights in the hotel after a booking this blindly due to having never been to the area. All in Redondo Beach is a great location. Central, clean and with a Joe's Crab Shack, Rubys and a Cheesecake Factory within walking distance.The room was on flr 5, it was clean, tidy and modern. Originally billed by Virgin as a 3.5 this was closer to a 4 star. Staff helpful, great executive lounge and an overall good experience.I would defo recommend this hotel to people visiting this region.

Great location, value, and great hotel!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel along with my husband and two small children. The room we stayed in was clean, spacious and aesthetically pleasing. We enjoyed relaxing in the heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. They have tennis courts as well. Beautiful view of the beach and marina from the pool deck. My husband and I took advantage of the spa, Body ETC. I had a facial by a woman names Kim who was absolutely amazing! She also did my husband's deep tissue massage which he was very pleased with as well. My husband used the gym next door which they call "Gold's Gym". Our favorite place to have breakfast was just a short walk across the street to Polly's on the Pier. Great coffee & not expensive at all. Ruby's Diner also just a short walk away had delicious bingiettes. Coffee not so great. Plenty of stores within walking distance.... Whole foods, rite aid, etc and of course the marina. We wanted to go to the nearby Sea Lab for a hands on tour with aquamarine life but ran out of time. Valet parking was $27/day and self park $24/ day. Room service was quick and easy, food was delicious and server was soooo nice. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.Next time we are in the area we will definitely stay here again. Located around 10 miles from LAX. Great shopping nearby.
