Brilliant Location to stay March 13

Brilliant Location to stay March 13
Ponta Grande is a very relaxing place to stay, the villa (no 5) is clean, spacious and location is excellent for nice walks, restaurants, beach's etc. The restaurant on site has changed hands this year and they could not be more helpful and also had entertainment twice a week. The staff on reception could not do more for you. The site is well maintained. This is our second year and we will be back again. For a short drive away you can visit various other beautiful loctions, shops etc.It will be nice when the Spa on site becomes availiable would have completed our stay.

Good value for money
I stayed here (no 10 villa) with my partner and 2 children ( aged 5 and 11). We found 2 bed villa to be spacious and clean but agree the patio was unswept and chairs dirty. The pool area was clean and plenty of sunbeds. Unfortunately the restaurant was badly serviced ( the waitress didnt understand English) and was expensive. However we found an exellent restaurant ( Pradia Grande) near the beach about 10 mins walk. Overall a quiet resort and good value for money.

seasons restaurant was a great find!
We stayed in a villa very close to the ponta grand and had dinner in there restaurant (seasons). We were made very welcome by an amazing waitress. We instantly felt relaxed and had a great dining experience. The service was warm and friendly and we could not fault it. When the food arrived we were very pleasantly surprised. Excellent flavours freshly cooked, and good sized portions. We ended up going back 2 more times and ended up chatting with waitress and finding out alot about the local area. There is not a bad thing to say about the seasons restaurant. We wish them all the best and hope to them when re come back!

Nice but with some "surprises"...
When I arrived at Ponta Grande Resort I and my boyfriend were informed that we would have to change from villa in the last of the five already book days...That sounded a bit strange but we moved into the villa.We were a bit puzzled when we found "our"first villa:full of personal objects such as a mobile phone, a cable, personal photos, a 20 euro bill...and even a rememberance photo dedicated to someone who obviously had already passed away!I thought I was in a film or something!!We went to the reception again and asked to remove those personal objects!!Then we found out that in spite of the confort and beauty of the villa we had two rooms instead of one and with two single beds each .We had asked for a king size bed couple...Nevertheless, it was obviously nice and confortable exept for the beds...We had half board.The breakfast lacked variety:we had a toast with ham, cheese and milk with coffee.As far as the other meal was concerned you could choose between lunch or dinner.The menu was a bit restricted although, something like cheap meat or omelette.The location was nice and peaceful....nice beaches a step away such as S¿¿o Rafael Beach or Praia da Coelha.So, summing it all up I would not stay it was a perfect stay but it was nice.

no . 57 Ponta Grande - Very comfortable and enjoyable
We stayed at 57 Ponta Grande Resort, Sao Rafael and booked through Portugal Haven, we had a great holiday, the townhouse was very comfortable and spacious and the extra large patio at the back was very private .We hope to return again in the future.
