Daughter and i came here for a father/daughter weekend. The front desk upped us to a better room and it was stunning. From our beds , all you could see was water. Boats would come and sail on by ! Daughter excited by big tub and she is a big LUSH fan. Shower had a rainfall head that was wonderful. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Location is great - North End is steps away. Fabulous food and dining options. Service is first rate at this Fairmont. Only bummer was i could not enjoy a cigar and cognac after dinner on the outside patio. overall - excellent!

Great stay; Wonderful location
This was our first stay in the Boston harbor area. Previously we have stayed in the Back Bay area, but wanted to try something new. My husband and I were in Boston for a weekend for our daughter's college event. We found the Fairmont hotel to be a very good choice. We liked the location primarily for its proximity to the North End- we walked to dinner and other North End spots in about 10 minutes. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet of the harbor location. The view was lovely from both inside (public rooms and our deluxe king room with harbor view) and outside, where there are benches located along the harbor for sitting and relaxing. Our room was nice-very comfy bed and roomy bathroom with a great shower. Wi-Fi is complimentary if you join the Fairmont Presidents Club (no fee and you can sign up during your stay, which we did.) The staff was very helpful, and we enjoyed our cocktail in the lounge overlooking the harbor. We walked to the Government Center subway stop in about 10 minutes, which was further away from the nearest T stop, but had access to all the T lines, including the Green line which we needed to get to BC. (I believe the Haymarket T stop is the closest though.) We also took the water taxi from the hotel to the airport which was convenient, fast, and fun! I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing and Excellent - Gold Building
My family and I are finishing a 3 night stay at the Fairmont Battery Wharf, Gold Building. The hospitality and experience has been so good that I had to write this review before leaving.I have read some mixed reviews of the Fairmont Gold. The ones who gave it a negative review must have stayed at a different property or have expectations that are totally unreasonable. I travel extensively, and I very much enjoy First Class, and this hotel exceeded my expectations, especially for the rate.My first trip to Boston has come at a very sad time for Boston, but the resilience of the city is apparent and the community has pulled together in all ways. I have actually been surprised at how friendly the people of Boston have been, but the Battery Wharf Fairmont Gold has really stood out.Upon arrival, the manager, Emily Hartmann, did everything she could to give us a wonderful room on the property. It even had a view of the harbor. Her staff was also awesome. Supervisors Christine Sangregorio and Richard Barcelo and Mike Kottos were attentive and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and pleasant. We really felt like we were part of the Fairmont Family. The doorman Evan was cheerful and helpful and even took us to the T Terminal when we took a day trip to Salem. I can's say enough about how good Several months ago, I booked 2 Executive King rooms at the Gold Building. The price was very good at $250.00 per night. I had read mixed reviews, but again, I do not know what folks are talking about if they had complaints.The Gold Building is a separate building. It is set up more like an apartment or condo in the sense that it has a lovely lounge but no real restaurant. The lounge offers complimentary breakfast, hors d'oevres at 5PM and dessert at 9PM. There are soft drinks, juice, and wine and beer and even hard alcohol if desired. The breakfast features hot and cold offerings and is more than enough to be satisfying- even holding us over until a late lunch \ early dinner. This was amazing on a budget with an entire family en route to Europe.The location is very good. It is a bit of a walk, 10-15 min (10 if fast from NYC, and 15 min if slow and from Texas) from the North Station. But from there, you can go anywhere, including an easy day trip to Salem. About 2 blocks away is the North End \ Little Italy with all kinds of restaurants and shops.The accomodations at the hotel were stellar. The mattress is comfy, the sheets luxurious and clean. The security is very tight, with each floor keyed. Just so you don't think I am a plant, I do wish they had bathtubs. Those are in the 1 bedroom suites, but it definitely is a minor thing and this hotel is really one that should be checked out!! As a final note, there is a yoga \ fitness spa across the way, and there is 24 hour access to the fitness room that features good PRECOR equipment, cardio theatre, and clean and spacious workout options.

Perfection at its finest
We came to Boston to see fleetwood Mac from Alabama and I chose this hotel based on trip advisor reviews and here to tell you this place is awesome !!!!!! Service is amazing!!! Rooms are first class with rain showers, it's quiet, it's right on the water and it was great to go out and sit outside near the water. It's in a great location to get out and walk all over the north end... Also if you sign up for a presidential status for free they will take you in their black BMW anywhere you want to go with in two miles of hotel. They took us to the td garden. You have to eat at the restaurant in the hotel it's to die for I had the filet migon and it was amazing and the service is first class all the way. We were here when they were looking for the bomber and we felt extremely safe as they wouldn't let anyone even in the parking area unless you belonged here. I can't say enough good things about this place if your coming to Boston this is the place to stay 100%

Nice hotel ~ some staff could use help
I have stayed at this Fairmont many times in the past few years, and this time I was just not as happy with the service, and in some cases the value. I had a really hard time communicating with reservations via email. It took a long time to get any answers and when I received partial answers they came with a little attitude. I was communicating with several other properties at the same time and got WAY better service with the same questions. One gentleman at the front desk was particularly not helpful. If it wasn't at his fingertips or he might have had to move, or go a little above and beyond, it just wasn't going to happen. Our rooms were nice, but be warned the double rooms are very small. We had room service and that person should be at the front desk! Very happy, very accommodating! We had the brunch on Sunday and Wow! ~ food was OK, price was astronomical!! and I don't mind paying a lot for food when there is value. Really, rethink your brunch.
