Spacious room with a lake and mountain view
We booked our stay online and it was very good value. After staying one night, we decided to stay a second and got the same good rate. The bed was large and comfortable (they called it a twin but it was 2 singles made into 1 bed, which suited us well) and the room was big and with a lovely view. There was a wide choice of things for breakfast and we enjoyed an evening meal in the bar. I liked the d¿¿cor with stripy wood and rock finishes. I wonder why the bathroom taps in many hotels, like this one, make such a noise? The shower was incredibly powerful: doesn¿¿¿t look as though they¿¿¿re short of water in this part of the world!

Cycling Event weekend
Stayed at this hotel on 28th April 2013 as My husband and two children were taking part in a cycling event. The hotel was perfect and literally just around the corner from the race. We were only due to stay for one night but we were exhausted after the racing and couldn't face a five and a half hour journey back to Belfast. I asked at reception if they could provide us with a room for the second evening and they were more than helpful. We got the same room we had stayed in the night previous and at a reduced rate. Would highly recommend to family and friends. Perfect location and beautiful view from our window. We were able to keep the three bicycles in a secure room within the hotel and this was not a problem at all. The breakfast was lovely as was the food in the hotel restaurant. We intend to visit again during August for a more relaxed break and to see more of Kilarney.

Birthday Get Away
We decided to get away at the last minute for the husbands 51st Birthday and we looked on hotels.com and found a rate for the Travel Inn in Killarney that was almost too good to be true, but it was true and soooo worth the trip! We arrived April 15 and stayed tell April 17, room 303. When we arrived at the hotel, Sheila booked us in. I told her it was a get away for the hubbys birthday, so she upgraded us for free to a suite. This suite had 2 rooms plus the bathroom ( it was bigger then my brother-in-laws whole apartment in Dublin!) There was the bedroom that had a large bed, table and tv, desk and wardrobe. Then there is a connecting door that went into a large room that had 2 couches, tv and then on the other end of the sitting room there is a large table to seat 4/6 people, a kitchen area that has a microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer, sink and toaster and all the dishes. I run my own cleaning company and I have to give credit where credit is due to Yvonna, the housekeeper, I could honestly find NO FAULT in the cleaning department in this whole motel and believe me, I was searching for a cobweb but found none. I also want to say a big thanks to Helen the young lady that gladly gave us some shampoo for the AWESOME power shower (as I left home with out the shampoo.) There are tea/coffee facilities in the main lobby that are always full and hot and we had wifi in our room. I can honestly say as we travel all over Ireland and the world, this has to be one of the nicest and one of the cleanest places that we have stayed in in a long time. If it wasn't for the fact that it is a 5 hour drive each way, we would make it a regular stop on our list. The room came with breakfast and there is a great selection of cereals, breads and fruit and then the hot meal to go with it, so if you leave hungry here, it is your own fault. They even heat the plates for the hot breakie, don't find that in many places anymore. Monday night weather was gail force winds and rain and bright and early the next am, there were no signs of the tree limbs and mess in the parking lot from the storm, the grounds had already been cleaned up. A big thank you to all the staff, we will be back and keep up the excellent work, you are all AWESOME!

Excellent hotel.
My husband and I stayed over last night. I found the hotel on booking.com and then researched it on tripadvisor, the reviews were very good so I went onto the hotels own website and booked one night. The rate was excellent, in fact unbelievable. When we arrived I was impressed with the lovely foyer and the receptionist was so friendly, my first impressions were great. When we went to our room we were impressed again, the room was so spacious and clean and the bathroom was lovely. It had everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great too with a good choice. I would highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again. We also had food in the bar and that was excellent, the presentation, the taste and value, we couldnt ask for more. The hotel may be a little out of town but well worth staying there.

Great value
Stayed here for one night before climbing Carrauntoohill. It was excellent value with a huge breakfast included in the rate, so we were well fed for the climb! Room was great too, nice and big with a very good shower!! It's out of town though, so not convenient for nightlife, but if that's not important then go for it...
