Very comfortable stay
This hotel has a small reception area but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is only a very short walk from the Magnificent Mile and CTA locations. I would recommend as long as you are not looking for high end bells and whistles.

Very pleasant stay
We had a very pleasant stay here. We were given a corner suite (small suite) with a nice view of some of the Chicago skyscrapers. The room was very clean and pleasantly decorated, and there was a good choice of TV channels. Check in was really slick and straight forward.The concierge was able to make good recommendations for restaurants (Ginos East deep dish pizza is just around the corner and great Chicago pizza).Location is great, just off the millennium mile. Some people have mentioned about the ambulance noise, yes we did hear a few sirens, but no more than expected in a busy city like Chicago.Bad points:Pool was not open as it only opens certain months of the year. This wasn't on the website I booked through, not really the hotels fault.Its not obvious that the windows open in the room. Much better when you can have fresh air.Only three lifts for the hotel part of the building, and one of them was out of commission, sometimes leading to long waits, we were told that we could not use the stairs.I'd definitely stay here again.

Good Stay but a Bad Experience
The stay was fine, the room was fine, but often in hotels you can judge them by how well they handle the things that are not routine. They handled the routine stuff very well, but when I needed them to send my clothes out for dry cleaning they instructed me to have them at the front prior to 9PM, so I brought them down at 6:30PM and expected them back at 9AM. So I am in my room expecting my clothes at 9AM and I am told they were not sent out and would not be back until 5PM, and I was supposed to be speaking at 11AM in those clothes. So I went to the clothing store and got a rush hem job. Needless to say, I was livid, but to their credit, they didn't charge me and they really did make the rest of the stay very comfortable. I appreciated the effort, even though I didn't like the incident. I would still recommend the hotel despite my experience.

Excellent.
We were a little concerned with some less than great reviews. But, I can't figure out what the complaints are about. We were given a corner suite on the 18th floor over Memorial Day weekend. It was exceptional in every way. Clean, cozy and an amazing view. We did hear sirens, but we understood it to be across the street from a hospital. It was expected and not that bothersome at all. Staff was very friendly. No complaints at all.

Location, Location, Location
The staff is very knowledgeable and will be very helpful in suggesting restaurants and activity companies. We stayed on the 30th floor and we did not hear many sirens from the emergency of the hospital next door. The rooms are equipped with fans in the heating/cooling systems for white noise and this was perfect to block out any outside noise. Nothing was too far of a walk from our hotel and with a priority club membership the in room wifi was complimentary. I would definitely recommend this hotel to explore the magnificent city of Chicago.
