Met all our requirements
We stayed for 3 days in May and found the hotel to be clean and the staff proffesional. The hotel is a bit away from the historic zone, so you need to try to catch a bus or take a taxi to the closest Metro station. From there it is clear sailing. We found our room to be well appointed, clean and the bed was comfortable. The lounge area is very small (4 tables), but the dining room is large enough to accomodate a good number of people. We found the staff very friendly, the food was good and the prices reasonable. All in all we had an enjoyable time. The price of the room includes a buffet breakfast was decent.

The worst place to stay in Rome !!!! Do not stay here !!!
Firstly the hotel staff are very rude and didn't really take in consideration of the request they advised prior to my booking ( i asked for double bed and they gave me 2 singles with a sheet over it) The flush in the toilet doesn't work at all. The staff would not get me the manager so I had to wait till the next day to make a complaint (staff didn't even know managers name ) this is the worst experience for a 4 star hotel !!! It's not even worth 1. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the hotel.

Not a four star
Upon arrival the hotel isn't anything fancy, but is clean so you can't really complain.Reception staff don't speak good English, and they seemed confused to three people having two rooms booked, and it took some time to locate the booking??. The rooms were clean, and it was nice to have a robe and slippers too. My mums room has no shower screen seal causing the bathroom to flood after each shower!. You're not allowed to open your balcony door yourself, even though you've paid extra for the luxury of a balcony, so that's an absolute rip off, don't bother wasting the cash!.The shuttle bus was out of action for during the three nights we spent at the hotel, and they staff couldn't advise when it would be fixed. There was a poster displayed about it being broken from three days prior to our arrival. The wifi was broken, again the staff couldn't advise when it would be fixed. Two major selling point of this out of town hotel weren't available so this was very annoying. There was a lack of general tourist information available in the hotel, not even a weather guide displayed at the main reception which we thought was very poor. We weren't informed of a check out time during checking, so on the evening of our departure (around 10:30pm) I called down to reception to check, the first phone call went unanswered, amd the second hung up! I took a quick walk down to reception to find two members of staff chatting! Shocking, but not surprised since I've read similar in previous reviews!.Breakfast was alright, but bacon and scrambled eggs weren't kept hot, just warm, and croissants weren't fresh. Carpet in the breakfast room is horribly dirty.Pool was out of use and filled with green slime, it looked like they had no intention of opening it anytime soon.Food in the restaurant was ok, but seriously overpriced! A Caprese Salad without basil, and we're in Italy!?. The temperature of food was also an issue, especially for the seafood pasta which my mum had.All in all, a bit of a let down, it could be a lovely hotel.

Ruined my holiday
After researching I booked this hotel direct from their website - big mistake! On arrival, our room safe was locked. We asked 3 times that day to have it unlocked. The following morning we asked again and also enquired about opening the balcony door - yes, you have a balcony, but you cannot use it as the doors have no handles. On return from sight seeing, our balcony door was wide open, as was the safe, but all of our valuables were free for anyone to take which I was extremely shocked about. There was no Wi Fi for the entire stay of 7 days - when asked, the answer was "no, no wi fi", with no expected time for it to work. The shuttle was not working - first day was advised to buy a ticket from a nearby shop as you can't buy it on the bus. So we paid for an all day ticket (12e) - you can actually buy a ticket which is time limited, and then buy the 3 day or weekly ticket at the Metro station. They also do not advertise that the shuttle is not working so if you seem to be waiting a while for it, then assume it is yet again not working. I wasted 40 minutes waiting for it one day, then 30 minutes waiting at reception to be told it was not working - no signs anywhere.Reception staff seem unwilling to help - one girl even walked off mid sentence. We were advised incorrectly how often buses ran, meaning we spent a huge 250euros on public transport (taxis into the city are around 30 - 40e each trip) throughout our stay. After a long day sight seeing, I hoped to use the pool - no chance. The pool was green with dirt. I had previously emailed the hotel because I had read that there were some problems with the pool, and the staff informed me that the pool would be open during my stay. I then decided to have a bath - there was no bath plug! I had to ask reception 3 times for this. The rooftop garden is not a garden unless you consider patio slabs and weeds a garden. Our air conditioning was horrendously noisy. We were on floor 4 and after visiting the "rooftop garden" realised that the air con workings were above our room, thus the noise. I attempted to complain to the staff on our 3rd day, and was told to email the Manager. I did this whilst staying there. I have also emailed since returning last Wednesday, and have yet to receive a response. If you are thinking of booking this hotel for value - do not bother. If I had tagged on the 250euros to my hotel budget, I could have had a lovely city hotel and not spent an hour and a half each day travelling. This hotel did not offer a relaxing retreat, rather just problem after problem.

Dissappointing
Stayed here for 5 nights from 27th May. Hotel was not as expected. On arrival we asked at what time the swimming pool closed, we got a strange look and were told it was closed and might be opening soon - maybe. Our information said it was open from May. We soon found out why it was closed, the water is a slimy green colour (as you can see from other reviews), it showed no sign of being opened any time soon.It is also quite small. The wifi did not work the entire time we were there, though we were able to use the very slow cable internet.Generally the hotel looks ok and is mostly clean. However the stained and sticky carpet in the downstairs resturant needs taking up and burning! Reception staff, though appearing helpful are infact indifferent. On arrival we were given no information about the time of breakfast or even where to find breakfast, it isn't in the same place as you can eat in the evening. Breakfast is buffet style and plentiful, although it is the same every day.We requested an extra pillow on two consequetive evenings and were told it would be brought to our room, we are still waiting. We also requested a new toilet roll as it had not been replaced by the housekeeping staff, fortunately this was not an urgent request! As the need became more urgent we resorted to liberating one from the toilet on floor -1! We did try to ring to make both these requests, but no one answered the phone on all 3 occasions and my husband had to go to reception to ask.The rubber seal on our shower was completely missing, so the bathroom flooded every time we used the shower, until we stuffed a towel in the gap. The safe in the room was handy - especially as we were targetted by pick pockets on the metro - beware! The roof 'garden' is not a garden at all, just a bare roof, housing all the air conditioning units and a collection of litter. Not a bad view of the surrounding housing area though. You may be able to pick out Rome somewhere in the distance, but we couldn't.Finding the hotel is a little tricky, especially if you follow the direction given by the hotel. We were told to get off the bus at the Via Siderno stop, there is no such stop, the stop you need is Via Squillace for the 664 bus. (Where you see the big ruins in the fields on the right). The Hotel shuttle bus only carries 9 passengers and preferential treatment is given to those speaking Italian. How you find this bus at the airport I don't know as it does not say it is from the hotel. It also does not run during the middle of the day and not very early in the morning, except at the wekend. The 664 bus is a very frequent service and only a 5 minute walk from the hotel, once you know the route. Allow about an hour to get into the centre of Rome. This Hotel is in fact a conference centre in a residential area. There are no inviting resturants within walking distance and only one tiny supermarket, there is a pet store and a dry cleaners nearby! We chose this hotel because of it's swimming pool and wifi, had we of known the pool was closed and the wifi didn't work we would have gone somewhere nearer to the centre of Rome.
