Stayed for 2 nights. We had an upper deck room. Room was nice, clean and modern. Good location. Had food in the victory pub was actually quite nice! Would probably book again, no complaints apart from the price!

W spent two nights at the de Vere Village in Swansea. Our room was on the second floor and we were overlooking the waterfront. The room was comfortable and a good size. Thanks for the different tyoes of pillow. Much appreciated. The welcome tray was adequate - but no biscuits. The bathroomm was a decent size but the toiletries were very simple - a soap dispenser for the basin and a body wash and shampoo dispenser for the bath. I find this a little disappointing now. The hotel has a good sized car park so no issues there. I walked into the shopping area in about 15 minutes from the hotel passing all the new apartments and flats being built. Near the hotel there is very little - a Beefeater, a small Tesco and tht's about it. We stayed on a room with breakfast basis so we can not comment on the restaurant in the hotel. To us it seemed very casual. The reception area was always very busy as it is the hub point probably for the conferenc erooms etc. There was free wifi there but also in the rooms. The breakfast was typical hotel fare. I felt that there could have been more choice of bread available. My husband felt disappointed that the cooked breakfast was not freshly cooked to order and was help your self from the buffet but when I looked at the items they seemed of a reasonable standard. I would use the hotel again as I liked the gym. I went at a quiet time about 10.30am and stayed until about noon. The pool is a good size and there were only ever 3 or 4 people swimming. It was possible to do serious swimming in lengths. There was a jacuzzi, a spa pool, a steam room and a sauna. The well equipped gym had an extensive range of equiplent from rowing machines, two types of bikes, running roads, vibra plate, weight lifting etc. This was a plus point for the hotel.

Nice hotel... Health spa with pool...Italian restaurant... Bar.. Clean rooms... Option to upgrade to the upper deck suite.. Only extra you really get is sky.. Didn't really notice the different in the actual bed or bathroom.. So you pay ¿¿20 a night to watch sky... Didn't use the Health suite so cannot comment... Bar slightly over priced on food and drinks and not much to choose from food wise...didnt try the restaurant but smelt nice.. would recommend breakfast.. Help yourself to full English breakfast buffet.. Cereals and pastries also available... About a 20 min stroll to main town.. ¿¿5 in a taxi...if was to visit Swansea again would return to this hotel... Very much like a premier inn..

Free parking, close to town, and an excellent health centre including pool, sauna and jacuzzi.Upper deck rooms very comfortable and quiet.Breakfast pretty good, and a pub and a starbucks are part of the complex.Great value for money as well at ¿¿69 per night for two B&B.Only downside is that the food served in the restaurant in the evenings is poor. It takes a genius to mess up a pizza!This was my second visit and was dissapointed to find that this area hadn't improved.Staff are helpful and friendly so would thoroughly recommend a stay but eat out!

Chose this hotel because it had excellent free parking. It is a modern hotel within very easy walking distance of Swansea centre. Once I had selected the hotel I looked for the best Internet late deal and after considerable searching found the best deal, by ¿¿20, on the hotel's own website! In this case it was a two day Easter break in there top grade room.On site there is a health club/swimming pool, Starbucks, pub style eating and an Italian restaurant.The deal we had gave us top floor called Upper Deck rooms, we were impressed by the standard of the room including Sky tv and what they called 'pinchable toiletries'!The room was clean, light and airy, due to the fact the window opened. We did have to wedge it open with a towel but that was no big problem. There is air conditioning/heating when needed. The bed was large and very comfy, crisp white linen and plenty of pillows and cushions. There was a hospitality tray with bottled water, Starbucks coffee and chocolate and tea. The biscuits were biscotti , and surprisingly tasty. All Upper Deck rooms have a sea view. There was a Bose speaker dock for my iphoneThe reception staff were excellent, knowledgable and polite. An extra mention for Max, thank you for such a warm welcome.Breakfast was served in the restaurant and offered the usual hot and cold selections. Nothing special but freshly cooked and all looked good. The Italian restaurant, Vinny and Vito, was where we had our evening meal . We had the early bird special which cost us ¿¿12.95 each plus drinks. It was a pleasant meal . When our waitress introduced herself she asked us if we wanted to hear about the history of the two brothers Vinny and Vito, she said their story was also written on the place mats. At the end of the meal, if we could tell her a fact about the brothers we could each have a free drink! So at the end of the meal we were given 2 free drinks of our choice, we had white wine. Think I would have preferred them with the meal!!!Noted other reviewers mentioned noise. This was not a problem for us although our room was on the front and over the main entrance and car park and we slept with window open. Maybe we were just lucky as it only takes one inconsiderate guest to spoil someone's nights sleep. However I do agree about the lift, there is only one and it is slow. You can walk down from the fifth floor and beat the lift every time!!!The pool is large and has jacuzzis, a steam room and a sauna. As a resident towels are provided for you and your room card fits the locker system. A good experience and was welcomed after we had walked six miles along the coastal path to Mumbles ( where there was excellent ice cream at Joe's Ice Cream Parlour!!!!)
