Lost her Lustre but kept her Charm
Our 3rd stop on our 2 week European tour, we purchased 2 nights through Hotwire at this hotel. I had contacted the staff through email and requested nice and quiet accommodations, we were extremely pleased when we were given room 709 which was on the top floor overlooking the courtyard. Our room was a spacious apartment complete with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom with a connected living area. The furnishings and bathroom fixtures were a bit tattered and worn, however, acceptable to those who enjoy antiquities. The queen bed was comfortable with separate quilts and pillows that were fluffy yet thin. There was a flat screen TV that could be viewed from the bed as well as the living area, there were also plenty of skylights. The air conditioning was somewhat disappointing as we set the temperature at 18 degrees and we had to open our balcony door to cool down the place. Fortunately, the weather was unseasonably cold and rainy during our stay. Our breakfast was not included and we paid 12 euros each for the buffet our first morning. The restaurant was small and the choices were limited to breads, fruits, eggs, salmon, meats, and juices. There were also options for cooked to order items such as ham and eggs, and French toast. The coffee was highly enjoyable and we requested hot milk which is customary in some countries. Our second day, we chose to eat at a delightful caf¿¿ across the street that offered sandwiches, pastries, and a fully equipped bar for those who enjoy an adult beverage with their breakfast. The area was somewhat aged and gritty although conveniently located next to trams #4, 6, and the underground train that was apparently one of the oldest in Europe. Fortunately, my husband did not notice the local striptease bars. Within a block, there was a small market, a KFC, and a Starbucks. There was also a couple of nice hotels on the main street. The hotel was situated on a side street and had underground parking, a full service spa, and a nice courtyard. While there were a couple of homeless people on the main street, we never experienced safety concerns. For those who have slight budgetary limitations and/or lengthy stays, and who are not interested in staying in the middle of luxury, the Queen¿¿¿s Court is a great option.

Failing to keep up with the competition
Stayed for 3 nights, my third time at this hotel. It is centrally located, only 15 minutes walk from the Western rail station and about the same to the Danube. It also just a few blocks away from Kiraly Utca with its nice range of bars, restuarants and shops.I had a superior suite (room 002) and it was exactly as shown in the pictures, very well equipped with full kitchen facilities including oven, dishwasher and full size fridge. The suite has plenty of room and the bathroom is also larger than an average hotel bathroom - however both the bedroom and bathroom are starting to show some signs of wear and tear which really detract from the proprty. This hotel markets itself as a five star property. However you should be aware that it does not come close what you would expect from a five star star property in western Europe. The hotel has no atmosphere, can be noisy as a result of the tiled flooring throughout and staff are generally quite miserable all of the time.I loved this property when i first started staying here a few year ago; unfortunatley this visit will have been the last i make as i feel there are now many better quality and equally well priced properties in the city.

Excellent hotel in a great location
Hotel - room we stayed in was fairly big with small kitchen and seating area- Our room overlooked the courtyard and was fairly quiet. We didnt eat in the restaurant but went across the road to a lovely tiny cafe that did fresh croissants and coffee. Other than that there are many eateries wherever you walk for lunch / dinner. The spa was small but nice to have a sauna and a quick swim after a long day sightseeing!Receptio staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a taxi to and from the airport to the hotel - you can email them before you leave to do this.Location - In the "Pest" area -pretty much in the middle for going across to the Danube and Heroes Square - 20 mins approx each way- we walked everywhere - Main sights - Gellert Hotel / spa, Citadel, Cave Church, The Var, Matyas Church, Fishermans Bastion, Margaret Island, Boat excursion, Ruin pubs, Hereos Square, Szechenyi Baths and surrounding park, Dohany Synagofue and many more! All in all a lovely break away

A 3.5 star experience. Good value.
Very good location that's downtown near all the sites and public transit. Surprisingly large room. Thank you to the courteous and friendly staff. But the downside is aged features. In the end, the room isn't delightful.
