Amazing day in Ostia Antica Park hotel SPA Center
We had amazing experience in the spa center of the hotel. With my boyfriend we were looking for some spa center close to Rome, because the previous experience in the spa centers here in Rome, was not so good, because every time there was some one else, but in here all day long we were just two of us in all spa center...we bought the offer You and me - spa center just for us, relax massage and prosecco with fruits on the board of the jacuzzi....Staff is amazing, especially Ms Raffaella, she make to feel us like red carpet guests. In the end we have decide to have dinner in the hotels restaurant. Food was simple, but fresh and very good quality, they have also some un commercial beer, just don't remember the name of it. During the dinner also the owner of hotel, Mr Roberto came to say hi to us and to see, if everything is ok...this was something very nice, that sometimes is missing so much in the "capital" hotels...After dinner Ms Raffaella gave us cake for the breakfast...I'm sure, that we will turn back there...because by being so close to Rome, it's perfect solution for relax day. Thanks again to the staff for amazing day!

did not acknowledge an emergency
I have stayed at Ostia Antica Park Hotel 4 times and always wrote excellent reviews of this hotel. The day I was to leave for Italy my son was in a car accident, fortunately no one was hurt but our car was totaled. I did not arrive in Italy. I called the hotel and was told because I did not cancel by the correct time I would be charged for the 2 days. I then was told that I could always contact management. I had by now paid for an expensive phone called but I did also send an E-mail to the hotel but heard nothing! I am a frequent traveler and also live in a resort area so I do understand about reservations and the right of the hotel to charge. What I do not understand is why management would not respond to my e-mail especially since I have been a repeat guest and writing great reviews about Ostia Antica Park Hotel! Would love to hear from the establishment! Tom Melchiorre

Close to airport, nice staff
Those are the highlights for this 35 year old plus hotel. The price was right, but it was a long and dangerous walk to the town. No sidewalk for half the distance. Good for those with rental cars and next day departures.

Great value
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights with my wife. We initially booked because the price was affordable ( as opposed to staying in the city centre) and were pleasantly surprised. The room, though a bit old fashioned, was clean and was thoroughly cleaned daily with new towels and toiletries laid out. Very impressive for a cheap hotel. Some television stations had movies in English at prime time. The reception desk was generally helpful, especially with information about travelling into Rome. The restaurant was understaffed and on the weekend nights the options were limited ( No pizza!), but the food served was tasty and well priced and the staff themselves were polite and helpful. If you are accustomed to public transportation, then this would be the ideal location. Even if you are not, it is fairly straightforward to get into rome, and very cheap too: 1 bus and 1 train to get access to the metro. The trains run regularly, but the 04 bus that stops in front of the hotel is sporadic. Maybe it was because it was Easter weekend, but at night we waited for nearly 90 mins for this bus to get back to the hotel. With regard to location, for some reason there are no sidewalks along the roadway, so venture walking at your own risk to find nearby places to eat, shop etc. Airport shuttle is very cheap 15 euros per room...we used it at its last departure for that session at 10am even though our flight was much later in the day. Saved us from using the overpriced taxis.Wifi is expensive, so we just used the computer in the lobby which was sufficient for us to look up attractions, check emails, etc. Close by bus to Ostia Lido, which is so relaxing with tons of places to eat, and much less roadside hucksters compared to rome. Definitely worth spending a day there. And the ruins were even closer. In General, this hotel is definitely a great value, very clean, accessible transport, and helpful staff.

Great place to stay outside FCO if you have a rental car
If you dare to be sightseeing via Rental Car (okay, so in Italy things like "lanes" and "yield" and "STOP" are merely suggestions...) this is a great place to stay, just 15 minutes outside of FCO and half an hour from Rome, and the quaint little town of Ostia with it's own castle is just down the street less than a mile away. The restaurant has good food and the rooms were above adequate even if there are no English speaking channels and the TV is a large table monitor. My room had a safe and fridge (although the maid threw out a drink I was storing in it to keep cold) and despite the posted fee, internet access is FREE to guests. You have to time the complimentary continental breakfast buffet to avoid the numerous bus loads of touring guests who will strip the buffet like a school of proverbial piranhas, but the minimal dining staff will do their best to accommodate the single traveler, bringing whatever you wanted to you from the kitchen. The hotel also offered numerous guest perks like an outdoor pool, sauna, etc, that I was too busy in Rome to take advantage of.
