Do the 15 Euro suite upgrade if available- excellent!!
Typically solid quality NH and very well priced. The area is a little way out of Barcelona centre but there is a tram nearby and if you have a car it is no issue.No major outdoor comforts like a pool or terrace bar but the interior is light and bright and they have underground parking.They offered a room upgrade to a suite for 15 Euros. That was well worth it and with the already reasonable price, a suite in a comfortable hotel for circa 100 Euros was fantastic. Free wifi worked fine too.Decent breakfast and coffee machine.

Basic but great staff
Just got bak from Barcelona yesterday. I have stayed in 4 star hotels which are similar. Very good overall hotel with friendly helpful staff and a simple 5 minute walk and a stress free tram ride (T3) into Barcelona which is about 20 minutes to Maria Christina Metro Station and simple transfers from there. Although the hotel was good the staff made it worthwhile. The breakfast was not worth the 10 euros as the selection of food was quite limited so we only bought one. The food included a choice of coco puffs or corn flakes, some fruit, good bread/toast selection and some small cakes and puddings.

Lovely hotel, lovely staff
We stayed here in November and I was a little concerned reading the reviews (AFTER booking it) because of how far away it was supposed to be. The hotel is not central but it is well connected, maybe 30 minutes by bus when it's quiet but it goes through interesting places including a shopping centre which we stopped at one day which broke up the journey.The hotel itself is lovely, no frills but comfortable and the staff are brilliant. Totally attentive and helpful.

A business trip to Barcelona
The hotel seems very new. It is clean and the staff is very helpful and nice.The location is a bit far from the many Barcelona attractions and point of interest. Traffic in the morning does not help to reach the city centre by car or hotel shuttle. It takes a while ... Same problem on the way back in the evening.Breakfast is also very good. I didn't try the restaurant.

Great staff, great breakfast!
I needed a hotel relatively close to the airport and picked the NH Porta Barcelona off a short list. The hotel not only met this functional need, it also pleasantly surprised me in two ways. The staff were very helpful. On my last morning at the hotel I noticed my suitcase lock had jammed and could not be open. The front desk staff were able to very quickly organise for someone from maintenance to come up to my room and break into my case for me so I could access my stuff. I was against the clock and they acted very quickly for me.I'm also a big fan of a good buffet breakfast and the one at this hotel is both delicious and delightfully presented. The pears poached in red wine and cinnamon were to die for. Very impressed.
