Doesn't live up to it's own hype
The Disneyland website says you've asked for the best so here it is eer maybe not !There was nothing wrong with my room it was clean and tidy but really needs an update especially the tv it was so small and the bathroom is awful. The check in agent was brilliant I wish I had taken her name but that's where the plusses stop. I really need a very cool room to sleep properly, I did my research and the hotel is air conditioned, the only problem is that is only switched on when the weather is hot ( I found this out after complaining twice that it wasn't working ) surely it is a guests choice to switch it on or off at will ! I also had to complain 3 times that my toilet was constantly filling and was met with probably the rudest receptionist in the history of the world she was much more interested in the conversation that her co worker was having. Very unclean hall ways one room service tray Was left for more than 24 hours, totally unacceptable.Would I stay here again NO !

Castle Club, wonderful service
This was our 17 month old daughter's first visit to Disneyland Paris and we decided to return to the Disneyland Hotel and stay in the Castle Club. We went by car and when we drove up to the hotel we were greeted by a Castle Club employee who took us up to the Castle Club reception. There we were greeted by Christina, a lovely Italian lady who was wonderful to my daughter we were checked in to the hotel very quickly. After that we went to the park, we returned early because of some problems at the Auberge de Cendrillon restaurant (see my other review), but all problems were fixed by the Castle Club staff, and although the rooms are normally not available until 3 pm they made sure our room was ready when they were fixing the issue with the restaurant. The Castle Club elevator takes you directly down to the main entrance of the Disneyland park. My daughter loved that elevator, like it could bring you directly to the magic ;-)At 4 pm there is tea time, with some snacks and sweets in the lounge. It was wonderful to relax there a bit, especially with a little one you just can't keep going all day. There is a very consistent staff so my daughter already recognized the lady that did our check in and looked her up when she was at the reception, all were so kind and attentive towards our little one. Breakfast is also served in the lounge area, and characters come to visit. Because of the limited amount of rooms in the Castle Club it's not really busy there and the characters take their time with the kids. Donald was crawling on the floor with my daughter, 'racing' with her in the hallway. The white rabbit was playing hide and seek with her. It was lovely to see how they took their time to interact with her. One night we watched the Dreams/firework show from the lounge because our daughter was just too tired to go out again. We left her in the room and brought the baby monitor to the lounge. The lights are dimmed when the show starts and they play the music that is played outside. Although it's a bit hard to see some of the details it was amazing to see the show from this point of view. The rooms are nice. We had two balconies which was nice because we could leave the door a little open at night. We like our rooms to be cool, but it was quite warm inside and impossible to really cool down the room. Considering you are in France and not in the US, the rooms are really big. There is a Nespresso coffee maker in your room and a mini bar. The room service menu has lots of options. The bathroom was a bit smaller than last time, when we had a separate shower which I prefer, but big enough for the 3 of us. The rooms are basic. And we liked the beds and pillows. In short: When you are staying in the Castle Club you are really staying in the heart of the magic. The service is very personal, the staff knew my daughter by name and she loved the attention. She felt right at home. Especially when you are traveling with young children, a stay here is excellent because mom and dad can relax as well.

Great to be on site and nice hotel - not cheap - but worth it
We stayed for 2 nights - it wasn't cheap but to be outside the gates of the park was well worth it. Room tidy but not luxurious relative to price. Service very good and decent facilities. Only down side is the restaurants for dinner were not very good and very expensive. I would advise to eat all meals in the park itself( you can ore book some). Also tip for avoiding queues on rides is go late 8pm to 10pm even with young children its worth putting them out if routine. Also fireworks and castle projection show at 1030pm on Saturday was worth staying up for. Finally for under 5's hire a stroller for 15 euro through main gates as its essential for long days for little ones to be pushed in. Enjoy !

Disney - you need to read this and shape up
I said I would not return here, but hey - I did. You see - this hotel is within a minute's walking distance of the park entrance, and if you eat in the hotel in the evening you will meet the Disney characters which is basically the two reasons for returning and nothing else. This time I went with my daughter, my grandson and his mum. We intended to have fun - and we did - but the hotel stay spoiled our experience and I will tell you why.We arrived on Tuesday 7th May and were checked into room 3341.The room smelled of stale sweat. We thought it may have been the cleaner who prepared the room so we opened the windows and unpacked and went out into the park.Later when we returned, the smell was just as bad, but by now we had unpacked, and we were only staying for three nights so we left it ( should have complained and I know this in retrospect)On Wednesday we retuned to the room late in the afternoon to find it had not been cleaned. We called reception and they said they would send someone. As we were leaving for dinner, two ladies arrived and started cleaning and making the beds. When we came back at bedtime 20 Euros had been stolen from a purse left on the table.Next day we returned back to the room to find it had not been cleaned again. This was getting silly now. We called reception and they said they would send someone. We came back after the evening meal to find that someone had been in and literally thrown the bed covers on the beds, and replaced the towels. The counterpane on both beds was thrown on the floor. The room had not been cleaned at all.I went down to reception and told the guy there. He was apologetic. He asked if someone could go up there now and clean the room. We were going into the park to see the fireworks so I agreed. He told us we would be given VIP status in our room meaning they would provide drinks and treats. We returned at 11pm and unbelievably, no-one had been and there were no treats.I called reception again and the guy asked me to speak to the manager in the morning.Next morning I saw the manager. He came to the room and agreed it smelled. He apologised and offered us VIP tickets for the park - we were leaving that afternoon so this meant very little. He also offered us lunch in one of the restaurants and I accepted it.It was a gesture, but it was no where near good enough to compensate for the inconvenience of having to complain every day with no result in a supposedly five star hotel.Five stars?? No. The toilet paper is of the poorest cheapest quality. The beds in this room were as hard as rock and the cleaners are thieves. Will I stay here again - honest answer - probably - but I will not be treated like this if I return. The decor is jaded and dated, The staff look so unhappy and we paid top dollar for this experience.Disney - you need to shape up or ship out

Queues, disorganized, slow, expensive, roommaid at hightime
We expected great experience, but the first day was s shock. You have to book a restaurant for lunch and dinner, yet when you arrive you have no chance. The vouchers for the food are only valid in 2 or 3 restaurants out of around 20, not for the most-sought of course. The park is great, yet you have to wait for ALL attractions for 30-120 minutes. Fast passes are only available for ONE attraction per person per day, and most attractions are not included; fast passes are not valid 1pm-4pm, so you can imagine what happens with all those past-passers at 15:59 :-(The restaurants (if you are lucky and find/book a place) are EXTREMELY slow and disorganized: 6 waiters running around, yet guests are not eating. Waiters are constantly handing over plates among one another around the place, not delivering them to the tables. In-house restaurants are either "high-end" with only 3 menus (California Grill has nothing to do with grill) or over-booked for many days ahead (Inventions, incl. meeting the characters).Rooms are not made up until 4pm, so when you are in after long walks around the park, they will disturb you, and when you say "no", another maid comes 10 minutes later, and another one another 10 minutes afterwards; crazy...There is no supermarket around the area, so you either buy water/food for the high price, or you remain thirsty and hungry. Also, the parade is a 5-minutes' thing with 7 vehicles, and that's it.Some attractions should be labelled "for kids up to 3 years", such as the Stitch performance; our three kids (aged 5, 7 and 10) were far too old for it.When one of our kids felt unwell, I went to the reception and all they did was to tell me to call 112; don't they have so simple medications available at hand?Perhaps something positive now: great attractions in the neighbouring Walt Disney Studios, incl. recently released characters (Cars, Monsters, ...), excellent Moteur show, clean rooms, clean swimming pool (1.40m deep is okay for us), shops full of related items (but no DVDs), proximity of the hotel to the park(s), comfortable beds except for the sofa for the third kid, all attractions are included in the price so no extras are paid (except for food/beverages).
