Sorrento trip
Stayed at Atlantic Palace with tour operator Riviera. Room was very clean, though could have looked more inviting with small changes. The bedcover had seen better days and we got our pillows changed as they were badly stained. the 'double bed' was two singles put together. The room had air conditioning which was great. There was both shower and bath. Our room was in the separate extension to the main building and as it was to the side we had no traffic noise and could look out at the pool. The restaurant was exceptional, with an amazing choice at breakfast and dinner. Pepe the restaurant manager was very welcoming. The Gala night is great fun too. The hotel has fantastic views of Vesuvius from the roof terrace and a lovely garden area if you dont want to sit around the pool. Also a nice bar area. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

wonderful holiday
we returned from this holiday yesterday and would def recommend this hotel. we paid an extra ¿¿56 for a sea view and wow was it worth it !!!!!!!! we had room 401 there are only 4 rooms on this floor we looked out over the bay of naples and versuvius ,it was truly magical. the room was large and so was the balcony and spotlessly clean we also had clean towels every day and they were white and fluffy (not like the threadbare grey towels we had on last holiday to spain). we arrived at 21.30 and went straight into dinner which was a lovely Hungarian goulash with beef that melted in your mouth. next morning we went to breakfast and there was a lovely variety for everyone and I was most impressed with the orange juice machine it was the zumo type that you get in restaurants that you throw 3 oranges in and get fresh juice !! never had this in a hotel before . . we travelled with first choice all inclusive and after the welcome meeting we were given a walking tour of Sorrento which really helped us get our bearings we also had a couple of glasses of wine and some limonchello on the way ! the hotel is out of Sorrento a bit but the courtesy bus runs frequently to get you down and back but after the 12.15 back up the next is 4.15, they also ran in the evenings which was nice to see the town at night and they charge 1 euro each for the evening runs. everybody who commented on the friendliness of the staff had it spot on they were so helpful and nice. one day my husband shut the patio door to when he was outside and when he tried to get back into the room the curtain pole with blackout curtain fell down so I went down to reception to tell them and they said someone would come and sort it I got back into the lift and went back to the room and could not believe my eyes as the man was already in the room to sort it !!!! he must have run up the stairs to get there before me and this was 7.30 at night what an excellent service !! we did the pompei and Vesuvius tour on the Tuesday which we really enjoyed . it was a lovely day out but very tiring we walked constantly for 2 hours round pompei it was a very hot day and you walk over a lot of big cobbles so my back was very sore at the end of it we were advised to take a hat or umbrella and plenty of water and decent shoes and I would advise the same. we then went on to versuvius and the view from the top at the crater is amazing !!!! the traffic around the hotel is quite heavy and no pavements so not advisable to try walking down to Sorrento this is the only road into town and Italian drivers are manic we watched a coach backing out and scooters and cars passing the back of it at the same time it was reversing !! the motorbikes and scooters drive along the white line in the middle of the road I don't think they have a highway code here at all or if they do they ignore it. we really enjoyed staying in this hotel and would certainly stay here again if we go to Sorrento in the future we found absolutely nothing that you could complain about as our service here was 5 star the staff and food were excellent and we even had a gala dinner on Wednesday where the food was paraded round to music and us clapping before being served .the only thing I could comment here on is we were given table 26 which was right near the kitchen and we were last to be served and the food was a bit cold a photographer comes round and takes your photo so get dressed up as the photos were really good and it was 10 euro for one photo or 15 for 2 which was reasonable. so all in all a wonderful all inclusive stay here and would certainly recommend going here.

Excellent service
Just got back last night from a week at this hotel. Would love to go back - soon.My wife and I have to agree with the many positive comments about the staff. From the chamber maid, to the restaurant staff, to the bar staff they were unfailingly pleasant and helpful. We don't know how this hotel, has managed to go "all inclusive" and keep so many staff whose desire was to make sure that the guests had a good time.Yes, it's close to the road, but at night we shut the windows and this cut out almost all of the noise.Yes, it's quit a way out of Sorrento, and it takes about half an hour to walk back (not strenuous), but we were on holiday - there was no rush, and it was a very pleasant walk. There was a footpath by the side of the road to within about 200 metres of the hotel, and although the Italian drivers seem to be mad, they don't run over pedestrians. I likes the comment made by one of our tour guides - "be careful crossing the road - over here traffic lights are only a suggestion!"

Sorrento Visit
We (Family with my 8 year old son ) were there at Atlantic Palace from may 1st to 3rd. Room was very clean. Service was very nice. Breakfast was really nice with freshly squezed juices. We liked the hotel as it is very convenient by bus.You can walk from the hotel to city center but the narrow roads and fast traffic, makes it little bit difficult. As they have shuttle runs to and from the center town often, but book the suttle in advance. Inquire about the time. Very friendly staff. I would recmend this hotel.

Sumptuous food
Billeted here for the night courtesy of our tour (City Discovery) and we were so full by all the food they served us (dinner and breakfast). There was also a juicer which was nice to try. The staff are friendlier than those from other parts of Italy. The rooms are not very luxurious but it was okay. Not located on the city center but there was a free shuttle to and fro. ¿¿¿1 for beyond 9pm. You can go to the top floor to enjoy the view. Our only complaint is we were put on the hotel annex while our family were at the main hotel.
