Good hotel but breakfast chaotic!
Enjoyed a bank holiday break here. The hotel has good facilities, friendly staff and the family room was clean and spacious. We dined in the Stir restaurant and the quality of the evening meal was good. However, we found breakfast to be somewhat chaotic with guests queuing for tables, slow clearing of tables and no regular replenishment of breads, fruit, items for the hot breakfast etc. Would probably stay again but maybe have breakfast somewhere else!

Spacious family room
Our family room for 2 adults and 2 kids was very spacious, clean and appealing, we had a balcony which overlooked a fountain in the garden which was lovely. The food in the restaurant was pricey and for the quality I expected it to be a bit cheaper. Breakfast was horrendous, the sausages tasted like they were there since the stone age and actually felt quite sick for the that day afterwards.Over all staff were very friendly, rooms really nice so would recommend to others, prob best off going into town to find something nice to eat tho. Enjoy....

Great food and Kids Club
Very spacious room, food in restaurant brilliant. The childrens club was full of great activities like pizza making/cookies. Breakfast serving was self service, nothing personal, unlike the restaurant food/evening experience which was just great.

Below standard food.
I stayed here mid-week. The hotel was quiet enough which was good. The hotel itself is nice but the food was terrible. I had dinner and breakfast here and it was not good. The staff apologised for the quality of the food. I would stay again but would NOT eat here.

Excellent Staff
My mother, my 9 year old son and I went for a couple of days over the Easter Holidays. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The rooms were basic but very clean and a great size. We had dinners included with our package and the food was excellent. I would definitely stay in the Maldron again.
