I would agree with most things said about facilities. We were on our honeymoon and still put in a room with 2 single beds made up. Had problems with the aircon, very warm! Staff not smiley or approachable. At check in we were not given any information and made to feel silly when we asked. Pool and gym were nice and clean. Breakfast was good, although I had to ask for bowls as they hadn't replaced them again staff not happy to help. Beware, we ordered room service chocolate milkshakes and got 2glasses of warm milk with chocolate powder to stir in. When I called reception to ask for late check out the lady hung up on me before I could even say adios. Good locale for the aquarium etc, wouldn't recommend the science museum, most things were broken. Overall good facilities, if you don't care about being smiled at and welcomed you'll be fine.

The hotel was clean and well decorated. However l got very little sleep due to the bed being so hard. I telephoned reception to ask if there was anything they could do to help, they advised no as all the beds were the same. On two occasions we had to return to reception to have our key card re-programmed as the door would not open. The reception staff were not friendly at all and you felt like you were a nuisance and stupid. Breakfast was good with a good variety of food, however the bacon and eggs and other hot choices were cold.The hotel is well situated for the site seeing bus stop which was really good and l would recommend. Several good places to eat and everyone was friendly and helped us read the all Spanish menu.

Stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights, from 3rd to 6th April. Lovely hotel, but a bit difficult to get to, although number 19 bus stops just outside hotel. Problem is distance to nearest metro, a little bit of a walk. Did not try this option, but took a taxi on return to airport, last saturday. left hotel approx 15.20 and it took about 20 minutes and less than 18 euro. We travelled, however, during siesta time, but was advised that cost of journey is usually 25 - 30 euro. very close to Art and Science buildings in dry river bed. Visit to science well worth the time. However, we chose to go to see a 3D film in the holographic building, part of an entry deal. problem with the English language headphones supplied - they didn't work!! got a refund, however. but back to the hotel. Very clean, comfortable. Stayed on 8th floor, and traffic noise was not a problem. Basic but pleasant and spacious room. Inhouse safe provided. Powerful shower, but beware! You end up showering the floor as well, as the bath-door is not so big. Do not be misled by picture of swimming pool - it is really quite small - i would say only 4 metres by 4 metres. It is located on 10th floor, and beside a very small gym. When we were there there was no access to the pool - i imagine a small step-ladder is provided as the deck is raised. Breakfast buffet at 11 euro was not tried, as just accross from hotel you could get toasted bread with ham and cheese, with coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice for 3.50 euro. There was an option for lunch/dinner, but again cannot comment as we did not try these options either. Wifi was free, as was a desktop PC in the lobby. Staff were very pleasant and checkin only took less than 5 minutes. Taxis in Valencia are quite inexpensive, from hotel to port 4 euro and into city about 7 euro, depending on your final destination. Overall impression? Nice hotel, not luxurious, bordering on 4* but well worth a visit. Would not mind returning.

The hotel was well maintained and clean. The morning buffet was nice. The staff was helpful and went out of their way to make this an enjoyable stay. The room was of a nice size and we had a good night's rest.

Guess it pays to read reviews before booking a hotel. We had a family vacation and stayed two nights. The room was very hot when the aircon was on. I called up reception as we could not sleep. He told me that the aircon was only in heating mode and told me to switch off the aircon and keep the window open! No other choice but the traffic noise was there till 1am. Next day when I complained at reception, the lady tells me that the process of changeover to cooling mode for the central aircon will take two days! I was charged the booking fee even though the aircon was not working. When I went through earlier reviews I found other guests also had this problem ! I dont expect such treatment in a 4 star hotel.
