Had a rest in hotel of 12 days in June, 2012 in Palma De Mallorca, certainly fantastic place and in principle as well as all Spain.Numbers were excellent, with a fine view of the sea and the next hotel.Hotel took specially silent and with good beaches around. To the center of the Palm about 10-15 minutes by bus. Near hotel there were little shops, with products, cafes where it was possible is tasty to have a bite! Bus stop in 2 minutes from hotel.Very much to all I advise to go to Cala de Sant Vicenc, madly beautiful town with crystal-clear water and beautiful rocks around. To go by car about about 40-50 minutes, can not much more. But it costs that. One more finest place is a beach of Es trenc, a sandy beach with crystal-clear sea. unreal. To go too about an hour, but won't regret it precisely!

Absolutly lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and very professional. The rooms were large and bright. The breakfast is fab although the juices arent freshly squeezed.The location is amazing and the views are magnificent.The only downside is the towel changing as the maid only replaced towels after we mentioned it to her, seems she folds the towels and never probably would have changed then unless we said it.Saying that we would return as its really suited adults and not suitable for kids which suited us.

This hotel is 20 mins in a taxi from Palma airport which costs 34 euros in the day and I think it was 42 if it was at night from what I can remember on the price list. We just jumped in one of the taxis at the airport and it was no problem. The hotel itself is nice and comfortable. When we arrived the chap at the reception was nice enough but then when he found we didn't have a voucher which I guess I should have printed and took with me he changed his mood. He took a copy of our flight details instead and then didn't give us anymore info such as what time breakfast was and where it was located. Our room was on the top floor which is the same floor as the reception. Our room was ok but I think the decor is a bit dated but it was clean which is the main thing. I was a bit concerned when I booked this hotel that we would struggle to find a sun bed if it was busy because from google maps the pool area looks quite small but in reality it's a good size. There is just one pool which is deep all the way through, even my husband couldn't stand up in it. There are a lot of sunbeds but we noticed on the first day they quickly got reserved. I've never been one who puts towels on a sun bed at stupid o'clock but I felt I had to or the first few days or we'd have struggled to find a couple! You can sunbathe round the pool area or there are some steps down where you can sunbathe near the rocks. This was our favourite area as it was less crowded and nice and breezy. We booked bed and breakfast at the hotel and breakfast was good and what you expect really; cereals, cooked breakfast, toast you wait forever for. For teas we didn't try the hotel restaurant so I can't comment on this but we went to Le Petit Jardin which is left out of the hotel and a short walk away. We went to this chinese place twice which is right out of the hotel and about 3 mins walk. We also went to Sloanes which is an english cafe/ bar. There isn't much entertainment in Illetas so if you're use to karaoke etc then you may be a bit bored. It's lovely though if you just want to chill out. The tv in the bedroom had about 90 channels and they were more of less all german. The only english channels were al jazeera and europe fm which played music we knew as well as the odd spanish song. I know it shoudn't matter because we were on holiday but it would be nice to watch a couple of english channels while getting ready and what not. The hairdryer in the bathroom was terrible, it took ages so I ended up most times just drying my fringe and putting the rest of it up and it got quite hot when you were holding it so it was a bit dangerous. We encountered 3 cockroaches during our stay- the first one was only small and I didn't realise it was one until my husband said and this was in our bath, another was one ceiling a few days later and then there was a huge one on the wall on the way to breakfast one morning. I wouldn't have like to find that one in my bed! Speaking of the bed, ours was really uncomfortable. It was 2 singles pushed together which I hate because you can't snuggle together without someone lying in the crack. The beds were really hard and I don't know if this was the cause of me not being able to sleep for the last 4 nights or it was because I had caught a cold! All in all it was a lovely, relaxing break and I would recommend it to couples who don't mind quiet holidays. Having visited many parts of Majorca, I would have to say that Illetas is without doubt now one of my favourites, and this hotel certainly contributed to that.It is in an excellent location, with an easy bus ride to the capital of Palma, and a cheap taxi to attractions such as Magaluf (Western Water Park, and the main strip), Palmanova, and other worthwhile experiences whilst on the south of the island. There is also plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance.The hotel in itself is clean, well kept, exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff, and having gone for Half-Board, the Breakfast and Dinner buffet options were probably one of the best i've ever had.The pool area, whilst perhaps a little small, is very cozy, and excellent for taking a swim to cool off from the sun (which is on the hotel all day long). The little private cove and beach area are delightful, and i would recommend getting a snorkel and goggle set, and immerse yourself in the incredible views underneath the water.I would give 5 out of 5 for this hotel, if it weren't for a few (minor) gripes. These are:-the lack of widely available wi-fi, which i feel is a necessity for hotels nowadays, -the lack of nearby activities in the evening (obviously not the hotel's fault)-the great contrast in bed temperature dependent on whether you are next to the airconditioner or not, and that a double bed is just two singles pushed together.As i said, these are tiny, essentially non-existent issues, and have no bearing on having an absolutely fantastic time, and i am sure i will be returning.Thank you very much, Europe Playa Marina!

This hotel is in a good, quiet location and is only 10-15 minutes walk from the sandy cove of lletes Beach. Acces into Palma is easy via the excellent bus service, which runs past the hotel all day and late into the night, every 15 minutes. Portals Nous, is just along the coast and only a short taxi/bus ride away, here you can amble with the jet set and admire the beautiful boats whilst sipping a cocktail outside one of the exclusive harbour bars. The Europe is an older style, uncomplicated hotel, with a moorish designed interior, it is comfortable, and clean, the rooms have plenty of wardrobe space. The oval swimming pool is surrounded by a large sun terrace where you can enjoy the views across the sea,the small cove below, and coast line. The buffet breakfast offers a large choice of continental style food together with hot food choices such as freshly fried eggs, beans, pancakes etc. The hotel's guests are mainly German, with a sprinkling of Spanish and English. Our return flight wasn't leaving Palma until mid-night, and for the bargain price of 20 euros we were provided with a room to use on our last day, we could have stayed in our own room if it hadn't already been allocated. I would stay here again.
