bad food in buffet, noisy hotel
obviously not 4 * hotel. maximum 3* (or even 2* for so cheap food in buffet). very noisy for so many spanish pablic. difficult to sleep as walls are so thin, so you can hear neighbours snoring...........not recommended

read the small print
my daughter booked for the family to go away for my 70th birthday so consequently have not been yet - booked an all inclusive week commencing 24/05/2013 (through booking.com) on closer scrutiny of booking confirmation it states that our all inclusive rate allows us to have a 1/4 of wine with our lunch and dinner or coffee/tea after lunch (yippie) when this ALL INCLUSIVE deal was questioned we received a e-mail saying we could upgrade to a all inclusive all inclusive for a extra 9EUROS a day. So do we go all inclusive, all inclusive inclusive or go camping. Decisions, decisions, I cant say what the rooms, food , general appearance etc. is like as i havent been yet this is just a report to watch out for conditions when you book this hotel ice-cream for the grandchildren is extra as well not to impressed at moment

One of the few hotels open in December
We checked into this hotel last minute and were very grateful to find it as everything else in Calella seemed to be closed. Only stayed one night so just had breakfast which was ok. Rooms were better than average for Calella and as we pass through every year, we would choose this hotel again.

4 Star hotel ?
This is my third visit to the hotel in the last 5 years. its the first time Ive stayed half board and it will be my last. I stayed at the kactus Playa in October The Bernatts rooms etc are superiour but their food does not compare. Ive booked here for half board for 7 nights the dinners are pathetic ,choice is limited, food is cold, if I were a pig farmer I wouldnt feed it to the pigs. The food at the Playa was tasty and hot. Marks out of 10 for the facilities 10 for the food minus 10. If I stay here again I wont be dining

Adequate
Adequate at best. It may have been our choice of room but the room was small and claustrophobic. Towels were rough and uncomfortable. The bed had one large pillow for two so it was impossible to manipulate it so we'd both be comfortable. We stayed here because it was near to a restaurant we were going to but I wouldn't really recommend it for booking.
