Convenient location, by the airport without the noise, close enough to Marina del Rey, Santa Monica ... The Club lounge rooms on the 15th floor with view of the runaway are the best. They come with breakfast in the morning and appetizers in the afternoon. The pool ambiance outside at the ground lobby level is nice. The only thing missing: brown sugar, balcony.

Excellent Meeting Hotel
Spent two nights recently attending a professional seminar at the Sheraton Gateway and was very pleased wih the hotel 's service, the staff attitudes and in particular the food and beverage banquet services. The guest room was spacious and clean, albeit a bit worn, not apparently having been re-furbished recently, but certainly well-maintained. Would have liked the shower head to be a bit higher on the wall, but it is what it is, and not easily changed. While I know you usually get what you pay for in banquet service, the banquet events at the seminar were superb, and the food quality and service were outstanding. The service staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and replenishment and clean-up of buffets was accomplished without disrupting the flow of service. Location adjacent to LAX makes this property very convenient, and the sound proofing of guest rooms is excellent, Couldn't hear aircraft activity in my room at all. Highly recommended.

Excellent customer service
I recently stayed there and have to say, the customer service was fantastic. Diane at the front desk couldn't have been more helpful, and assisted me with a couple of requests (refrigerator, etc). The room was spacious, clean and modern. Would definitely stay here again.

Went above and beyond
My boyfriend and I had one night at this hotel for the night before I left to move back to Australia whilst he returned to Canada. I ask the concierge desk if there were any complementary gifts they could offer us, and they were more than happy to accomodate once I mentioned our circumstances. We were offered an early check in of 10AM, the room was HUGE with three couches and a king size bed, one that you get lost in. Upon returning after our tour, we walked into our room to find 2 free mini bottles of champagne and chocolate coated strawberries as a welcome gift. The pool is also amazing, perfectly heated, and even though the restaurants are closed on Sundays, the lounge was just lovely to eat in, and not overpriced!! Huge portions. Thank you so much Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles for making our night memorable, in the best of ways.

Good service, average room
One of the better LAX hotels. Clean, modern lobby with Starbucks coffee shop. Yay! Airport shuttle very efficient and fast. Check in....no problem. Nice room on an upper floor....cool to watch the jets come and go. Minimal noise....impressive as hotel is close to runways.Food in bar/resto was pretty good....as was the service.NO in-room safe. Older bathroom...but everything worked. NO complimentary basic wifi in the room even for Starwood members.....this is not acceptable in 2013.
