Great stay
Booked on the hotel's website and got a better deal than the discounted sites. Then noticed the site had the room cheaper. I called and they agreed to credit me the difference. When I checked in to the hotel they did not have my double bed room available. There was some bad weather and apparently guests decided to stay. The manager (Tim) came out and offered that they could move me the next day; he apologized profusely and offered a credit to me. I was very happy with this. Tim even called me the next day to see if I wanted to change rooms, I of course did not since I was already set up in a room. The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice. I would recommend the hotel and definitely would stay there again. Aside from some much needed updates, the hotel was a great place,.

Poor Choice
The location was perfect, but the hotel needs major repairs. Paper is coming off the walls in the hallways and the hallway carpets are filthy. Fortunately the room was fairly clean but it was in desperate need renovation. We happened to visit during a heatwave and the air conditioner wasn't working. We travel to New York frequently and won't stay there again.

A little tired
This property was a Sheraton-flagged property until about a year ago. It has changed since it lost it's flag and not necessarily for the better. Housekeeping definately needs attention; there seems to be an extra layer of dirt and grime everywhere you look, both in the rooms and in the public areas. Air conditioning in the rooms was marginal at best; they use an Inncom energy management system and the housekeeper turns he air "Off" when they make up the room. It takes a long time to recover to desired temperature when you come back in from meetings. No in-room coffee or other little touches that used to be there. Client mix has changed as well and it looks like a lot of OTA reservations and lower rated groups. Basically a tired property on it's way down

Fabulous location!
Hotel staff are very friendly and eager to help where they can. Our room was a corner one, apparently larger than standard. Very spacious!Location within easy walking distance of Times Square, theatres, Central Park and subway stations. My only additional extra included in the price would be free wifi in the rooms which appears to e standard in NYC! Other than that, no complaints!

Not as good as expected
We checked in at 7 PM, and although we got decent rooms, we didn't get the 5 deluxe rooms we had booked. Everyone was put up with rooms on lower floors and some of the rooms where not clean and for some the key didn't work, so a trip back down to the reception was necessary.The front desk didn't seem to have control and upon check out my complimentary internet ended up on my check after all.The hotel is in a perfect location though, and with a little TLC it could once again be a very good New York Hotel.
